It just recognized it for me, Forrest. However, it's limiting it to one membrane. I'm going to look into that.
However, even if ordering two the code will still take $10 off the purchase price.

The air trapped in the chambers is an easy fix. Simply turn your unit to the left while its making water, then to the right while its making water and the air will escape the chambers. But it will not cause your TDS to rise.
TDS meters can go bad. That is why its always nice to have a back-up hand-held meter. If you think something might be off with your in-line meter the hand-held one is a good way to find out.
The Fast Flush flow restrictors do not typically go bad. The only way they are "bad" is if the handle breaks or if something gets trapped inside them and you are unable to release whatever is clogging it.

The recommended way to store a membrane is to put it in a zip lock bag and store in the refrigerator. As long as NO water gets on it, it will store there for a few months!

Two months ago I won a Typhoon III at our WAMAS meet. Since then I've probably made up about 200 gallons, and seen a lot of other RO/DI systems, and I've gotta' say, I endorse this system 100%. Customer service is fantastic, the system essentially comes setup, and it performs flawlessly. The instructions are well put together, and it comes with EVERYTHING you need to get started. I also whip up a batch of RO water every morning, and have stopped buying water filters for my Keurig.
If I had not won this, I probably would have bought cheaper.Knowing what it is now, I hope I can share with other newbies to make an investment and go with AWI's TIII, why wouldn't you invest in your water quality, one of the most important aspects of this hobby?

The only difference between the Typhoon 5 Stage and the Typhoon III is the "bells and whistles" that come with the product. The Typhoon 5 has everything you need to make RODI water. The Typhoon III adds a DI bypass assembly, an RO only valve, a membrane fast flush valve and comes with an HM Digital hand-held TDS meter ($60 more in value)

I recently ordered a RO/DI filter from you all and it's been great, but I was curious about something. The DI "canister" (not sure if that is what you'd call it) never fills with water. Production is fine and TDS is 0, I was just curious if this is normal. Thanks!
Yes that is typically how the DI filter works. When you stop making RODI water and close off the RODI output, that will create back pressure into the unit causing the ASOV (automatic shutoff valve) to kick in and water will stop coimng into the unit. During this ASOV process, the DI filter will fill up and then will again drop down to being part full when you start making the RODI water again.

The diagram is exactly right ... FYI the New 100 GPD FilmTec Membrane now has a Rejection rate of 98% vs the old rating of 90% ... The new FilmTec item number is TW30-1812-100HR .... The "HR" tells you you have the new membrane.
