Right now the heaters are in the sump and that pump is working fine. Without the closed loop the circulation is light and will need to be addressed, but at the moment I only have a single Maroon in the tank as I am in hoping to consolidate tanks in the near future. I am going to have to sit down and plan this out as getting behind the tank to swap out the pump is darn near impossible,

I would say no to the impeller moving, as the only sound i am getting is this god awful hum or buzzing sound when I plug it in. By the way as best i can tell this is a little giant pump modle 581507, 1100 GPH.

I was in the basement today and all of a sudden i started to hear a noise very similar to what a washer or dryer makes when they are done, but this noise was coming from my external pump that runs the closed loop. I checked the intake and outputs to make sure something wasnt stuck and didnt see anything. So I plugged the pump back in and the noise kicked off immediatly. Any idea what the noise could be, its god awful and the pump isnt pushing any water. By the way, I do not know the model as its not in a good spot for me to check, but i do know it is approxamtly three years old

My wife and I are going to the super pet expo in March, and I noticed they are also having a super fish expo at the same time. Has anyone ever gone to the fish expo? Is there anything worth buying at the fish expo? Are there local vendor there?

thanks, and the large ones (probably 6) are a couple inches tall while the rest of them are smaller. The shrimp have been avoiding them for the most part. All in all I would guestamate there are 25 or more in her tank.

My wifes 29 gallon has a large number, and huge, aiptasia outbreak. I found a thread on WAMAS recommentding these little critters. I was wondering if yall carry them. We already put 7 peperment shrimp in her tank, but they are not paying any attention to the aiptasia thanks -

I am not ready to get on the filter yet, I am still in the process of completing my basement. I am getting stuff for it as I move along. I know I am going to have a tank down there, so I am getting but at the moment the basement is only framed. I am a couple months away from having it completed. I am thinking of getting an FX5, and an over flow box with 625 gph, to then have a smaller sump available and then put an in sump skimmer into.

I plan on making the tank an aggressive FOWLR tank. The tanks dimensios are 72x27x18 I used to have a 75 gallon tank with three triggers and something else but I cannot remember what. I ended up giving it to a friend because we were moving and I was having problems with it because I put the wrong kind of sand in there. So instead of starting over with the tank, giving we were going to move I gave it to a guy on wamas, keeperofthereef. I will have LR, crabs, snails triggers and something else thats it

I am about to purchase a 150 gallon tank, to which I noticed this evening the tank is not drilled. So my question is should I consider getting the tank drilled for a sump, should I go with this 925 gph canister filter or should I consider going with an ovrflow box? I am not certain if the glass is tempered, so drilling might be out of the question
