  1. My winter cleaning has revealed I'm a bit of a hoarder. These items are free to a good home if you come pick them up:

    - 4 - 5 gal water containers

    - 7.5 gal black sand

    - 13 gal fine white sand

    - 5 gal coarse sand

Located in Sterling VA. Fontwell Sq to be precise.

    Happy New Year!

  2. Correction. The chiller is actually 1/10 hp. Sorry! I don't know how I got that messed up.

Everything is still available currently. I'm not going to hold anything - its going to be first come first serve b/c I've had a lot of trouble in the past with craigslist people saying they want something then saying nevermind.

  4. Hi!

Definately carry on would be my advice. What kinds of corals are you going to be taking? Some corals can be shipped 'dry'. But generally you would want to have bags for each species, put oxygen in the bag, tie off the bags, and put them all in a styrofoam cooler. 10-12 hours should be a piece of cake.

  5. I'm a huge urchin advocate. I love them! We have blue tuxedos (which I also would recommend), long spine (which knock over a lot), rainbow (which aren't that great with algae b/c they mostly eat meatie foods), armor urchin(I would recommend this one as they don't move your rock or corals and they eat lots), and pencil urchins (not recommended with corals).

    good luck!

  6. Hi All,

Thanks again for all the help. Turned out the pump wasn't making a secure enough connection to the skimmer body. So I used some plumbers tape and away it went.

    Thanks!
