KenB October 20, 2015 Share October 20, 2015 I have a BRS external GFO/Carbon reactor. I also use two part Calcium Alk and a Kalk stirrer. My GFO reactor keeps clogging. fishgate October 20, 2015 Share October 20, 2015 I put GFO only and it works fine. I suggest put less until it tumbles and doesn't clog. I have mine (2 little fishies) about 1/4 full. You'll have to change it more often since it is less. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
s2nhle October 21, 2015 Share October 21, 2015 make sure you have 2 meshes and two sponges.One mesh is at the bottom then sponge then GFO then sponge and the last layer is mesh on top. i love the BRS external.
