Squishie89 August 28, 2014 Share August 28, 2014 Could be sponges, could be hydroids. Photos would help.

Squishie89 August 28, 2014 Share August 28, 2014 Here is your photo I think it's hydroids unfortunately. For me they are a major PITA, for others they come and go.
Jhead85 August 28, 2014 Author Share August 28, 2014 Any way to control them..anything out there eat them?
Squishie89 August 28, 2014 Share August 28, 2014 I don't know how to answer your question because I am re-doing my set up mainly due to hydroids. Mostly hydroids are just filter feeders, but they can get out of hand if you feed heavy and especially a lot of small particle food. They can sting corals though. There is no guaranteed eater of hydroids (except some nudibranchs that are hard to find and ID). For most people they just go away/die out on their own. Tracy G August 29, 2014 Share August 29, 2014 I have had them on and off and what I have found the more your tank matures the less impact they have. They really don't bother anything except for Zoa's (or seahorses if you do those) but my Zoa's have gotten over them. Really no cure from what I have seen in a reef tank.
