Hospital Tank Maintenance

So ... I set up a 20g hospital tank to treat all my new arrivals with Paraguard and PraziPro.

 

The first batch of fish are in the DT, so the question is ... now what?

Do I empty the Hospital Tank or leave it running?

 

I assumed I should have it always ready to go

so I left it running with a heater and HoB (just a pad in the there though)

but now I have algae (natural light from the window)

 

I vacuum some of it up,

and I assume I can't add snails (Not Paraguard safe?)

 

What does everyone else do???T
