Guest navajo February 20, 2007 Share February 20, 2007 (edited) OK, so for the past few months, I thought I was getting some kind of tiny stringy red algae in some places in the tank. Just figured they's cycle out like everything else. BUT, tonight my daughter asked me if I'd ever figured out what kind of critter was in the sandbed. Well, we argued for a bit about if they were algae or animals and she said, "Watch this" and got my long scraper and the poked one and it retracted! (Yes, I was wrong AGAIN! ) So I pulled one out and took some pics. Care to tell me what the heck these are? They are all over the sandbed now that I am looking for them. It just looks so odd I couldn't help it! THANKS FOR YOUR TIME! __________________ Tom (The Tool Man) Edited February 20, 2007 by navajo

Guest navajo February 20, 2007 Share February 20, 2007 Why do we want to get rid of them...arent they good scavengers? From what I've read (recently! ) they ARE good scavengers. I'm not planning on doing anything to ge rid of mine. I LOVE finding new/odd creatures! That's the main reason I got into the hobby. The fish and corals are just a bonus! Lee Stearns February 20, 2007 Share February 20, 2007 These are cool and good to have- Unfortunately bored Wrasses will often pick at them till they are no more. Not sure if they really eat them.
