  1. You haven't gotten any yet? Do you have an idea of what you want? Have you been to House of Tropicals yet? They probably have the largest number of tanks in stock in this area. Comparable, if not more than That Fish Place (at least the last time I was there).

I bought small tanks but looking for little larger. I will drive out there and take a look sometime this week. Thanks

  2. Not many places carry tanks in stock like that. House of Tropicals up in Glen Burnie has tanks in stock, but their prices are ridiculous IMO. Petco carries tanks, but they will be the same as Petsmart for the most part.

Interesting. If customer buys a tank, they tend to buy tons of stuff to fill the tanks. I understand economy has been bad but they can't sell what they don't have. Impulse buy is great for business.

  3. I have been out of the hobby for a while and want to get back into it slowly.  I am thinking Biocube 29 might be a good start for me this time around.

    Pro’s and Con’s for biocube?

    Any must do modifications?

Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

  4. I was doing some research on tanks and biocubes and came across this video.

Did I miss something while I was away?  Tap water safe for reef tank?

    In this video:

At about 6 minute mark, he washes everything out in the sink with tap water and at about 15 minute mark, he puts coral into the same container he used in the sink to put coral in there.

    I just watched in horror.

  5. Lot has changed since I was here last. I wanted to get back into the hobby but where did all the LFS go? Where do I go to look at fish tanks?

No more Oceanic Tech tanks? >:

  6. Recommendation for nano tank

I want to start a small all in one tank and wanted to know what tank is reliable and has least amount of modifications.

I have several larger tanks running and fully equipped to handle most problems that might arise.

I am looking for a good brand that runs fairly silent for the bedroom. As to what I want in the tank, live rocks, pair of clowns, anemone and few corals.

As for the size, it really doesn't matter as long as it is small enough for the bedroom. 12 to 30 gal perhaps.

  7. that puppy is adorable

You like puppies? I got more pix! My Bichons had 6 puppies and I kept two. Nemo and Dori

  8. is that stand just open in the front or is there a cabinet?

There is a cover. If you look at the last picture, you can see small part of the cover. Within the stand, sump fits nicely.

I wish I have pictures of it. But when I moved the tank, I moved the sump next to the tank for easier access. I knew I was going to sell the whole setup during the move.
