Nice Picture. They are generally considered to be beneficial. Some vendors sell them, http://www.ipsf.com/reefworms.html . If you have an over abundance maybe you could trade some, although I am not sure how to collect them.

I thought that was just me, I just got 3 peppermints several weeks back, they were gone the next morning. I added 5 a few days ago and they too appear to have been eaten by my aiptasia farm.

I have had the same experence with xenia, I added a small frag a over year ago, it spread to a good size, about 6 in sq. Then one day it just all started to died off, and was gone if a few days. Didnt notice any other changes, water was OK. I have tried to add another small frag since then with no success. I would like to add some back, I do miss all the pulsing hands.
Has anyone ever figured out the right conditions for xenia? I know some have success, and other with great tanks cant keep it.

I plan on being at the meeting and would be happy to buy a set. Enough for 5 gals? Whats that 2 cups dry per gal for the Ca and 2 1/4 cups per gal for the Alk? I have read about it, but havent made it myself before.
Where did you end up finding the bulk chemicals?

I have 8 or 10 chuncks of capnella. Would like to trade for some Xenia or 'shrooms or anything else you want out of your tank. I'm sure there will be some left for the free table or raffle.

I am ready to add some more life to my box of saltwater. Been running a 90 gal with 25 gal refugium for about 8 months now. We have a yellow tang, royal gramma, and 2 small clown fish, many snails and some little hermit crabs. I went with about 100 lbs of home made rock and added about 15 lbs of live rock from the local fish store at $8 a pound (If I knew about Dr. Mac
