  1. Neglected reef tank with sump for sell. $1500  $500 OBO.

I've been traveling for last one year. The tank has been severely neglected. I don't have time to break it down. It's not fair to the fishes (pair of clown, flame angel, Royal Gramma,

Everything you can possibly need is included. Sump with Sicce return pump, bubble magus protein skimmer, BRS 5 stage RO/DI filter, I'll include all the water change pumps, almost an unused box of red sea salt.

  2. I've been looking for a 10g bucket or a container. All I can find are 5g ones. This will be used for making saltwater for my weekly water change. I need to be able put in a powerhead and a heater, so the opening needs to be wide. If anyone knows of any online vendor or local places please let me know. Right now I am using a 32g brute trash can, and pretty much always wasting water and/or salt.

  3. Probably came in on a coral or live rock. Not sure about natural predator. I search online from time to time and nothing stands out as a true predator. If you only have a few now kill them off manually. Mine spread quickly and have been dealing with them for years.

I think it came in on a coral. I used dry dead rock when I setup this tank. I am so tempted to just take out all the rock and bleach or acid wash them. Have you ever tried a yellow coris wrasse? Some people claim Yellow Coris will eat these pests. I may have to try to that as well. Plus I like the way Yellow coris' look.

  4. I don't know if you can tell grin the picture, but there's a small stick like formation on my rock. I see bunch of these are sprouting on various places of my rock structure. Any idea what might these small formations are? e0b95a3155439f84912a69b0dfa40ca3.jpg

  5. I have been battling Dino for a while. Most of it is gone from the rock, there are still clumps of Dino on the sand. I was thinking about using Dino X to get rid of it. I have read some conflicting reviews, I was wondering if anyone here has any experience using Dino X?  Any info would be greatly appreciated.

  6. If your system is low on calcium or other trace nutrients, I suppose that could weaken the skeleton. Perhaps get some supplements if you don't already use them.

I am dosing Kalk, and CAL is within 430 ~ 450, and ALK is 9dkh. This is the frag I got from you a while back. The frag is doing fine, I was just surprised that every few months I find a new head on the sand bed. I'll leave it alone and see what happens.

  7. Just leave it alone. It doesn't really "attach to the base." It branches as it grows. Sometimes they will bail out and you'll find them on the sand, but most of the time they stay attached and the colony will grow many new heads over time. Mine grew from a single head to a basketball-sized colony until I cut it up and gave a lot of heads away to members last year.

Ok thank you. I'll do that. Only reason I asked because I found 2 other heads on the sand bed. Was hoping it would grow bigger.

  8. Thank you, that's what i thought as well. And that's fine, but why is it just hanging there for last few weeks? Last one fell off and now I have a small frag. Shouldn't it attach to the base?
