I would avoid USPS .. I get weekly shipments .. sometimes from individuals .. one guy lived in VA, shipped me 10 heads of Frogspawn, it went to Arizona and came to me a week late .. dead, as you can imagine. I only use FedEx generally. If you find someone with an account, you can get better rates.

Do you guys find they work? I had one, used it, but never seemed to do the trick. So, I just stick to Aiptasia x.

I have seen a lot of threads related to Apex programming and setup. I consulted with the rest of the officers and thought it would be a good idea to have a thread where members can:
ask questions(Apex setup/programming)
post their own code
seek help for something they would like to have their apex perform.
There are also several sites that have sample code that members can use for themselves. A great site is reeftronics.com. As well as Neptunes's own site which has the holy grail (comprehensive apex manual). I have had my Apex for quite sometime and I have it do almost everything (water changes, email alerts, status checks, change pump cycles, etc). I can certainly answer most questions, so don't be shy. It can get complicated .
So post away
Are you using the DOS for water changes or something else?

Yes, the clams were awesome! The staff was really fun to chat with as well, very helpful, and plenty of space to get in and take a peek

Enjoyed your booth at Macna. It was packed and you had some great stuff!!

A few forums have a few threads dedicated to Macna pics .. not sure I can link to it from here, but it's a great thread for anyone not present.

Wow .. it was so much larger than I anticipated. My wife and I took a break, went to he Zoo, and came back for a few more hours today. It was like a totally new experience, something new each time I went through. The volunteers were superb! Thanks for all the hard work!

I find them from time to time .. never had an issue with water quality. The main concern with bugs I hear is if someone sprays insecticide or baits them .. and they die in tank with the insecticide tracked in.

Awesome! I looked you guys up and followed I also love it .. very useful.

Just curious, anyone else using it? If so, whats your username? Looking to follow some locals.

Thanks for the input. I've seen the Smithsonian last year or so. I am looking for 2,000G ranges in residential homes. Interested in the guts (power, humidity control, etc.). I'm hoping to plan a large tank in our house as part of an addition in the coming years.

Hello,
I have a 90 gallon with a cracked glass behind the overflow that has a slow leak. Should I be taking this to the dumpster or could it serve a purpose for me or anyone else?
Also, with a tank that size how do I get every drop of water out of it since my pump wont get the water out at the lowest levels?
Craigslist it .. someone will want it. Use a shop vac to get all water out.

Is Copps the username of the person on this forum?

Just curious .. in terms of local (say within a 2 hr drive of DC) who has the largest tank? As my wife and I start thinking about a home addition, I'm thinking about a huge tank. Just looking to see a few residential systems (2,000 + gallons) in place. I've seem tons of large commercial setups, but not as many large residential. Figured I would ask here.

I use Tunze on all our systems .. big fan.

I got some pretty complex ones setup .. one for the entire fish room controlling 4 tanks, etc. More than happy to help .. best advice: backup, backup, backup. If you make a goof, just restore from your last point

I got 2 60 gallon blue drums .. one is sealed. The other is cut open in the top. $25/each. Only used to store grape juice and always inside.

Will be spending a week between the two. Looking for any suggestions on shops to visit.

Very nice .. I have a little Dendro garden in my tank as well .. going on about 10 with some babies growing. Keep it up .. so awesome!

I use Insteon for home automation stuff and the leak detectors. It's great. Check out Insteon (it is battery operation and even sends an alert if battery is going low)

I can get you the DSA Model 90, 36x24x25, glass, drilled. Overflows how you want. I have some good specials going on with Deep Sea Aquatics. Can deliver to you. Sent you a PM as well.

Had someone ask me about the Coralife LED Aqualights. I know nothing about them and have no experience. Anyone have any thoughts I can relay?

I have 2 Apex ones on my tank. one drops pellets, a small amount, 2 times a day (mixed pellets). The other drops flakes, 1 time per day. I do small feedings, 3 times, instead of 1 or 2 larger. I love them. Never had an issue, easy to use.

As I was sitting feeding my frozen, it dawned on me, I haven't checked this thread in awhile. So, here I am .. dare I ask the question .. any new updates?
