hw-Marinemix Reefer - Calcium 445-450 ppm, Alk 9.0 dKH, Magnesium 1380 ppm is my favorite, Redsea Coral Pro second place. I use Redsea in smaller tanks ( Redsea 130D) and the levels stay stable through WCs. However hw-Marinemix Reefer took first spot for me because it left no residue when mixing, downside is it cost more, but I have been happy with both brands. Depending the the size of your tanks there may not be away to get around dosing, large reef tanks will use elements faster than what a modest WC can provide.

Yea if its been 70 this long then getting to 79 isn't that critical, its FOWLR so you can go lower if you want. The size of the tank compared to the wattage of the heater with factor into how fast the temp rises, as long as the heater is appropriately sized you shouldn't have to worry about any shock to the fish.

Like all have said, watch that ammonia you will need to check it often. A sponge filter has been a great addition for me, plenty of bacteria and easy to clean and repopulate.

I have a bi color blenny in a Nano, it tore through the hair algae the hermits ignored in a few days.

Puffing up like a balloon? They can do that to attempt to relocate themselves.
