  1. well guys he did great for the first coupe days. didnt touch a single coral. i came home today and my entire zoa colony was WIPED. This sucks but at least he picked on the cheaper stuff lets hope thats all he touchs if not im sure you will see him for sale lol. such a beautiful and active fish tho and he gets along with all my other fish so im really hoping it all works out with him

  2. You also gotta consider voltage drop on your circuit. how far is the panel from your tank setup.? and what do you mean by 15Amp wire? 14wire? I would go with two 20Amp GFCI circuits personally, just because its more than enough power over there and you would be good even for future upgrades. The cost is not much of a diffrence either for breakers or GFCI's.

Another note what chad was sayin you CANNOT use ARCH fault on motor circuits so that wouldnt work for your pumps

  3. Mike, what types of stuff do you have currently in your tank?

    .

Right now I have a salfin, hippo

Ornate wrasse, fox face, and two little chromis. In my 210gallon so not much fish at all. Most of my coral are softies and zoas but I have some plate one big stag horn and one big Leather. Thats it.

I was thinking about an emperor or queen angel. If not maybe a regal or annularus

  4. Hello guys its been a while since ive posted anything but i have a question/questions..... SO how many of you keep angel fish in your reef tanks and what kind do you keep? Im Very interested in getting some type of large angel fish for my reef tank i know its kind of a gamble just want to know what you all think about my chioce.

  5. ok guys i havent added anything new to my tank in 2 and a half months, i just spotted what i think to be a starfish on my back glass. it has 7 legs and is tanish/grey in color it is about the size of a dime. i have a orange linkia and a sand sifting star and a brisstle star no other kinds. is this a starfish and if so what kind?

  6. The best customer service. It cannot get any better! If they continue to do business like they do they will become huge in this area! I will also keep buying from these guys.

  7. so now im looking to get a new clam what do you guys suggest i could get another crocea and put him high in the tank. i want a clam the will grow fairly large. so which clam will grow the largest in a home aquarium and which clam grows the fastest? (just so i know)

  8. ok i understand. the clam was on the botttom sitting on the sand bed thats why he wasnt attached and why he was tipped over. so as i take it that was the wrong place to have him? i had o clue he didnt have enough light i mean he lasted 7 months in my tank and seemed very happy. Do they grow very slowly? he seemed fine but never grew in my tank his mantle always came out the same distance but did change color from purple to blue and purple and tan in the center.

  9. High probability it was lighting. Croceas are very light-demanding. A clam that gets a little too little light will look great for months, or even a year, and then abruptly kick the bucket

This is crazy ive never heard that. so your saying nothin would appear to be wrong and it could die over night?

  10. ...gotta give more information.

    What size is your tank?

    210 gallon

What kind of lights are you running and how far from the surface of the water?

3 MH 1 250 in center and 150 on each end. they are 6" above water and tank is 27" deep clam was on the sand bed

What are your water parameters (now and historically)?

Po4 was too high but other than that great this tank is the best prams stay the same its great i tested the day before yesterday but ill test again tonight.

What else is in the tank? (this includes both intentionally introduced items such as coral AND unintentional items such as GHA, bubble algae, cyano, etc)

2 cleaner shrimp and b&w clown pair, salfin and a foxface. just your basic softys nothing special. one large staghorn. no algae but i am having a small aptisa outbreak i have a CBB on the way.

How big is the clam ?

    clam was about 3-4"

Do you feed it? If so, how (target? water column with the pumps off? etc)? Also what do you feed it?

    no didnt feed

Is there anything else going on out of the ordinary in the tank? pH/alk/Ca spikes etc? Did you lose power in the outage?

nothing other than last week he tipped over or something tipped him over but he wasnt tipped long
  11. I drip acclimated for just under two hours. I tested the water in the bag and it was 1.024 and my qt is at 1.020. He will not eat I have not tried love food yet. I never asked what they were feeding. But I'm pretty sure all they ever use is live brine. I tried posting a pic WAMAS never let's me

Anymore because of size and I'm not going thru all that phone bucket stuff.

  12. best thing to do right now is get some antibiotics and make sure he is eating ... if needed crush up some fresh garlic and use the juice in his food to entice him to eat if he isnt...

What kind of antibiotics and where do I get them? He will not eat anything so far
