  1. My success in display tank.

I bought peppermint shrimp, used aptasia-x, kalkwasser, boiling water - limited success

The peppermint shrimp with one spot Fox face is the winner - the one spot didn’t start eating until it was in the tank about 8 months but now the aptasia are in my frag and sump but none in display. The peppermints keep the little ones away

  2. As far as the water goes, just be patient, i migrated from 55 gal to 155 gal with all the same sand and lr and it took the sand a two weeks before it settled down. Had to keep a temp 55 for corals and fish until it settled. Things r great now.

the baby tank is added, it shuts off 4 times a day for an hour for feeding, the horses on the surface eating, then when the pump is on a clockwise current keeps them off the surface. the surface is bad. the water  clean so  if they get food none die. the milk white water ? i did not wash the sand any ideas, the pirate ship needs flags, the sump is a mess i wont show you 13 old pumps i will order one big pump monday

  3. Amazon sells acrylic glass cleaner kit with extra cartidges. The whole setup costs $20.00 and works great on my acrylic tank. Check ou brs.com and they will show u how to use it.

    Its easier than cleaning glass!

  4. Thanks. It's kind of stupid how much money I have spent on epoxy making those things. So yesterday and today my male bangaii released his fry . I didn't get an exact count but it looks like something around 17-20. They are eating and hanging out in some dragon's breath macro.

Cool! I lost one a few months ago and when u r ready to send them to new homes let me know - would like a couple

  5. makes sense. I have mine set up with the overflow dropping 2" higher than the sump to generate bubbles that dump into a reef sock, that drains into a Tupperware container with my chemicals and the overflow goes into the rest of the sump. I have a lower flow return pump for split back end, my refugium thats another tupperware container with a single flow pump and seep holes that move water slowly across live sand bed, macro algae that feeds back to sump to skimmer and higher flow pump back to dt. I just wasn't sure what all the small sections were for - thanks!

  6. haha any time man just lemme know, almost always need a trim or a way to find room for another coral.

Really been wanting a bigger tank lately, but then i start thinking about all the extra work for water changes, salt etc and i am happy with what i got, though i wouldnt mind a little bigger

thanks and I am indeed interested.  I live in Southern MD but work in springfield VA so anytime during the week if you are willing.  My 155 Gal currently has Xenia, Green Star Polyps, Mushrooms, Sinularia, Yellow polyps and some Kenya Tree coral so I'm in dire need of some variety so thanks for anything you can offer with some color!
