Mine seems to have magically disappeared today. Has been a consistant 4-6" nem, a bit restless but looked good. Now I can't find him in the tank at all.

Just a 1000mg tablet from Rite Aide store brand every few weeks. Jan puts it in her food so I may stop adding the tablet.

Have you tried vitamin c? Only one of mine were doing well before I added vitamin c. Now even the ones I thought were gonners are open and doing well. Once you get them opened up make sure you feed them if you want them to spread.

How hard is it to figure out sex of these guys? Can I figure mine out and just pick him/her up a mate or do you have to buy as a pair already?

I don't dose anything. I use Reef Crystals. I feed Jan's reef food feeds my corals and fish.

One of my MJ is loud just like the original pump. I don't use a skimmer. Weekly 5 gallon water change is needed to keep tank happy. I add like 1 gallon every 2-3 days of fresh water as top off.

When you get a "pair", do you have to get a true pair or just 2? How does one find a true pair?

Those are almost as silent as I could find. More quite=way more money if I remember right.

Those you listed will be louder and ,more importantly, have sleeve bearings that will fail in a short amount of time. Wouldn't trust them to last long at all in a saltwater environment.

I'm curious why they say, it "drifts upside down"? If that is what it normally does, why is it not right side up?
