  1. I don't no if any of u keep up with the weather like I do but there is a chance we could be dealing with a major storm early next week around Halloween time

For types prone to power outages now is the time to check and re check your batteries, gas, generators and such

Never to early to be prepared

    I will keep all posted

  2. Nice build

I have one thing I would like to ask u

Are u aware that the pt plywood os copper treated now to cire it not sire if u new that but wjen it gets wet it leaches copper

Just wanted to male sure u were aware of it

Look forward to seeing more pic of this awsome build

  3. You need to let the tank cycle

Ie when there is no trace ammounts of ammonia, nitrate and nitrite in the water column

Then and only then when all tests 0 u can get a few chromies to test the water

If the fish do ok then your water is ready for others, but go slow with fish and corals, too fast and u could crash the system and have to start over

After a few weeks u can start to add cleaners to the system

    Hope this helps

  4. I have a 10000 watt diesel generator running during any outage

I have two houses hooked to it

Running 180 gallon, 45 gal, 3 fridges, 2 freezers, putdoor wood stove pumps, 3 30 gal tanks, 2 tvs, sons playstation, 2 10000 btu air units

    Still have room for more

If you use ice make sure it is in leak proof bags if store bought or out of ice maker. This wayer is full of tds and traces pf chlorine.

If you use ice make it out of ro water

I use large gatorade bottles and freeze them and float in tank not the sump, have found it works better that way.

  5. What have we all come to in this country today

It is a shame u have no way to keep food, health and pets alive for such stupid goverment regulations.

Dont worry the world is changing fast and can only take so much

  6. Our power came back on this morning

As far as running your generator at night go ahead and do it, we all have alot of money and attachment to our tanks so if the neighbor has to hear generator sorry will do all I can to save family, food and fish

My tank peaked at 81.5 kept 16# ice floating in main tank every few hours. Only kept one return pump going and skimmer, nothing else at all.

I had to learn the hard way and over time have learned what to do to keep tank and all other things good.

If anyone needs help give me a shout, I know I am far away but will help out as I can
