  1. I wish I could get a booth, haha. I tried to get in as a shirt sponsor, but I never heard back from anyone. Thanks for letting me know YHsublime.I'm still building inventory and getting everything together. I'll shoot a pm out to Origami, and wait till I get a response back. DaveS, I'm definitely going to be at MACNA, but probably not as a sponsor.

  2. I got this ordered and built last week.  I've had a bunch of stuff come up so I really haven't been able to do a proper review.  Just as a quick thought, I really like it.  I should mention that after doing some reading, people seemed really unhappy in theory with them not having any warm whites.  I went ahead and ordered 3 extra warm whites and 3 extra UVs and strung them inline with the Whites and UVs on the pucks.  RapidLED was willing to bump the two ENL-60-27Ds to ENL-60-48Ds at no charge so it took no real extra efforts to wire them up.  Also, this solderless stuff is the bees knees!

My tank is 30x30x12, I have the fixture hung 21" over the waterline.  I run the UV and Color at 25% and Whites and Blues at 50% and the light is super nice.  Maybe a little warm for my personal tastes, but that could be attributed to the warm whites I added.  I really haven't had a ton of time to play with it and I don't want to shock the corals.  Everything is looking great.

So here's a quick pic of the fixture...I'll post up a more detailed review once I get a chance to goof around a bit....and also clean my tank some....it's a mess right now.

    Following:)

Based on Reefs R Us's website, email address, and phone number I would say no.

Barry, come on, monthly update, good or bad, we want to know

    Hello there fellow reef-keepers!

After an extended absence, I have an update for you all. I ended scrapping all the tanks and went with an 8'x2'x1' aquaculture tub. It is all filled up and operating. I'm going to be contacting club officials about becoming a sponsor this week. I have you all to thank for keeping me motivated during several setbacks. I really appreciate the kind words and enthusiasm.

  4. I really appreciate all the enthusiasm, support and encouraging comments.

Per club rules, I'm preparing to get set up as

a sponsor. I apologize for not being able to say much more until then. As for a general update, I'm getting some help with the website aND getting a couple things organized.

    I !

  5. Wow, very nice! Looks like a solid start.

    Tagging along Bro.

    Wow indeed, very nice....tagging along.

That sounds like you have a solid plan! Good Luck!!!

    Thanks for all the enthusiasm!

I really appreciate the kind words.

It took me a long time to figure things out, but I can say for certain that things are finally moving along!

  6. Hey all, I apologize for the extended absence. Just to clarify , the Tank was not made by Artfully Acrylic. I had just contacted him to see what could be done with the tank itself. For years , I've dealt with John of Advance Acrylics , who's always done a stellar job with the overall quality ... and not once did I ever encounter such a lousy job regarding the quality of work or lack of professionalism as I have with this particular vendor. I feel that quality of the end product and professionalism by any vendor towards consumers is essential.

    Just look at Quantum Reefs....

    Anyways, sorry for the rant.

As summer continues on, I've run across several issues that have distracted me and slowed down my progress of setting this thing up. I assure you all that it is going to happen, and there will be updates soon.

    To those who were curious about the increases humidity issues, that's something that will be handled by dehumidifiers and good overall ventilation. As far as corals are concerned, I'm planning on dedicating a certain percentage of the farm space to various types of lps corals, ie;

    Acanthastrea lord, Favia, favites,etc.

I'm planning on experimenting various growing methods etc. Another percentage will be dedicated to previously farmed corals to a certain extent. I will keep you all posted .

  7. Lol. Well, the 40 breeders system will be fully plumbed up by this week. I've got some friends coming over to help me with the setup. As for the acrylic tank that has strip bracing for its "eurobrace", that will either be sold or sent off to Adam to cut a new one piece Eurobrace like it should have been in the beginning. I've also got 2 deep blue 80g RR tanks coming in on Tuesday.
