I bought it from a guy online on Offerup, not sure who made it, he was planing to use it as frag tank I guess.

Hey, I have one of these display boxes. Did I meet you about 2 years ago? Did you buy an in tank refugium from me from a CL add? Did you give me one of these boxes? I still have it
Great looking pico. I love it!!!
Yes that is the same box I brought with me to put the corals in that I bought from you. and I remember I bought the refugium also, I took your advice and joined WAMAS , so here I am.

cool little project. get that thing packed with corals! hahaha
I am working on it.

I used the box at the bottom instead of the one behind the tank to hold the equipment (filter, heater, thermometer)and the chaeto algae, it also have room for floating valve that will help with evaporation issue.

Very cute ! are you going to put any fish in there with the zoas???
No, there is no room, I am thinking tiny bristle stars . do you have any suggestions?

Hi this is shrimpo @ the planted tank, nice DIY you made there, sorry I don't have a PAR meter but there is section in this board for WAMAS members that enable you to borrow it as well as sale/trade frags and equipments, I highly recommend to sing up for WAMAS membership.
Good luck to you

What make & model light fixture is that? Better light spread than I expected for a small fixture.
This is a DIY from a guy in California, I paid $200 when I bought it, but now I saw on Ebay that he reduced the price to $185 free shipping whith improved features like dimmer and individual switch for actinic.
Edit: you can also link more light fixtures together, you just need separate power cable. check the topic at the new to the hobby forum that I started under the title LED lighting, to see a picture of 2 light fixtures linked together.

Emerald crabs ate all the macroalgae exept Codium and Red titan.

I am leaning towards the marco combo, since the live will seed the dry rock, but I really love the pukani. Do any of you have the marco dry rock? Or punani rock? Thoughts?
I am using mostly Pukani rock in my 40 gallon, they are light weight comparing to other rocks, so you end up paying less and reducing some stress on the stand.

I tested the water here is the result:
Amonia: 0.25ppm.
Nitrite: 0 ppm.
Nitrate:5 ppm.
Phosphate: 0.5.
PH: 8
Calcium: 480
Alkalinity:12 dkh
Magnesium: 1800
I used API test kit exept for Magnesium I used Red Sea test kit, I bought it not too long ago but there is no date on it.
I don't dose anything at this moment although I have 2part sitting around in case I need to use it.

I like how you have your rock set up.
Thanks, most of it is Pukani dry rock from Bulk Reef Supply, I am trying to keep macroalgae in the left background also leave as much swimming space for the fish since this small tank.
