    Wil's Rimless 100g Build

    I'm about to order one of these because RedSea is dicking around with their REEFER system shipments.

     

    How did you deal with the plumbing issue on these since they use metric bulkheads and piping?  Did you use some of their flex tube and an adapter at the bulkheads or were you somehow able to hardplumb the whole thing?

    I was wondering where you got your stand?  I'm looking at setting up the same tank but still have to order it.  I made the mistake awhile ago fo trying to buidl my own stand and I ended up having a 40 breeder that wasnt sitting flat.

    I don't think I;ll be using sand at all, I just see it as a trap for detritus and the like :( - I need to find a way to get light reflecting off the bottom though.

     

    The frag rack on the bottom with the zoas is still in, but the one hanging off the side is out :D - I plan on going home and getting my 2 pieces of shelf rock and putting them in so the zoas can be mounted :)

     

    I want to make an acrylic frag rack as well... that way it is clear and the corals will be floating, not to mention easier to harvest SPS

    Got some new corals, and cut the Birds Nest up into two colonies (wish I didn't now)

     

    I'm going to be taking the tile out I think.... It does reflect light but I'm not sure about the detritus in between them.

    Renato - Thanks! I love the tiles too... they give me some light reflection but I do still get some detritus trapped in between them. However I have no problems keeping my lvls down I guess its because of MB7 & the skimmer...which is working great now even w/o the mod. I will stop by sometime so you can mod it though :p I'll bring you a frag of the neon green birdsnest as well. the tubbs is also already growing!! the tips are splitting and branching off even more!

     

    Dave - How is he doing? Has the little retard tried playing hide and seek with you yet? He also likes to get your attention by pecking at the glass when you're watching and will eat nori from your hand if you hold it steady.

     

     

    Update: I got 3 Green Chromis and a Cleaner Shrimp today... the cleaner shrimp is in the back corner :(

    Never got the pm yesterday.

     

    If you guys want the yellow eye kole tang for a school the following is going to have to happen.

     

    I would like it to go into atleast a 75g (a 55 doesn't have a big enough footprint for this little guy, he was cramped in a 50 breeder)

    I also cannot deliver, pickup needs to be made (I live off rt. 1 in college park, md)

     

    Thats all I require, I just would like to see him go to a good home :)

    I hope to get a solana soon someday! I'm actually trying to sell my 50br and downsize to it!

     

    How are the tek lights doing for you. Do you get enough of a spectrum and ability to adjust it? I was looking at the ati and tek fixtures but couldn't decide.

    if you have 2 clownfish that shimmy is a sign of submission, your male or smaller one is submitting to the bigger or female clown.

     

    If you are feeding daily knock it back to every other day. Amonia is caused by the breakdown of the fish food/poop and dieoff
