The one rock that they are on (there are at least 3-4 on the rock that I have seen) has been removed from the tank and is sitting in a bucket of salt water, there is also 1 or 2 aiptasia on the rock. I dont want to see the aiptasia get to plague proportions so it will sit in the bucket for a little bit. Might offer it up for trade of a like sized piece of rock
Fascinating creature! Here's an article from Advanced Aquarist that touches on this creature: http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/oct2002/invert.htm
From the looks of yours, it is already propogating itself. See where the foot is over on the right and how the main body has shifted to the left? It's doing it's fission propogating thing. The flesh left behind will generate a whole new corallimorph. Pretty darn cool. If you do decide to part with it, offer it up in the sale/trade forum - it would be great for a species only tank. To fully remove it from the rock, you'll need to use a chisel and hammer to get a good chunk of rock off with all the flesh attached. Otherwise, you'll have more pop up.

Alright, try pseudocorynactics. Maybe.
Thats what it looks like...and looks like the indo-pacific variety...looks like its getting killed tonight (or at least scrubbed off the rock)

Not really, I have another picture of a second one on the same rock but no visible mouth on that one. I will try to look through the other pics I took and see

This is an interesting little fellow on one of the rocks I picked up today. Dont think it is an aiptasia, or a photo-synthetic organism but curious none the less

Thanks for the warm welcome. makes me feel good to be part of a great community. I need to try to get back up to scales today to pick up some sand and LR now that my tank has passed the leak test.

Hello all...been a lurker for a while.
I have 2 tanks a 29 AGA with 130w of PC light over it and a brand new biocube 29(no mods yet). The biocube is going to be my reef tank and the 29 is fowlr right now (large aiptasia problem from rocks I got from a vendor I wont mention). Before the 29 biocube I had a 30 cube that housed seahorses, unfortunately when I went away on vacation for 4 days my heater got stuck on and killed the seahorses. I am looking forward to getting to meet some club members and gain some knowledge about husbandry and keeping a successful reef

I went to HoT tonight to look for a tank to get back into the hobby. I spent about 45 minutes walking around the store and not a single employee could be bothered to see if I needed any help. I even asked for some help and was told I will be right with you, waited in the same spot for 5 minutes. Went to go look at the all-in-ones on the other side of the store and saw the employee I asked for help talking and joking with another employee. There were very few other customers in the store. All in all I was ready to spend a good amount of money but I will look elsewhere to get a tank now.
