I can do 1pm, but if the fishes are still sitting, it might be a problem.
If you leave a container with me i can hold the sand in it for you.
Try to see if someone will pass it on for you.

Folks,
I have around 12 of these boxes that were not picked up
by folks from the group order.
You will have to pickup from my home in Herndon
on Saturday or Sunday.
Please post your dibs. Help me get this off before i post on

The $35 is a great deal for a 200lb box.
Thanks

This saturday/Sunday - June 11th/12th will be the fish pickup days.
Tank/Stand/Canopy - $200 ( i have 2 folks wanting it.
One has asked for picture. Picture sent.
- Here is the scoop. A 120G from glass cages is darn heavy. The stand is a
DIY made of 2x4 and 4x4. its darn heavy and built like a tank.
You would need a minivan ( count 2 trips) or a large pickup ( for 1 trip).
You will need at least 4 strong guys to haul it.
If you can handle the above and get the tank out before JUNE 20, please
commit. If not, then i don't wish to waste time, since the movers will be here
after that date and i really want it gone by then.

I was given as a pistol , but he could be a mantis. However, it is not as
vibrant as a mantis. It however was a good pair with the small watchman goby.
i could not stand their mess digging the sand out in my small tank. It
will be a good pair if you have crushed coral instead of southdown) - FREE

Folks,
Please see the other post for the 120G tank teardown sale as well.
Here are the details on the 42Hex and the softies.
I have updated with the Dibs. I apologize for the delay since i had to
leave for NC on wednesday evening
Hardware
diy sea swirl (3/4") - $25 ( have tested
pushing 700gph and works like a charm) - hold for scott711
42G hex with stand (drilled)- $50
( some history of this tank. The glass broke when torqued and
has new glass installed. I redrilled it and has an external durso overflow).
The tank has been up and running for over 8 months.
10G sump with external return pump - $20
( sump has a 1" bulkhead and fits well within the tank).
The little giant return pump has got intermittent today. Using some lube
lets it run for a while and a day later, it is stuck. Might be some clog along
the shaft. It is pretty much a freebie.

lemon peel angel - $15
potters angel - $25
Sorry, its not potters angel, but a pygmy angel
scooter dragnet - $9 hold for dchild

emissary wants to check it out and then buy it
Lighting
I am currenty using a CSL 48" long fixture
that is currently just placed over the
tank.
The lamps are 2 65Wpc 10K and 2 65W actinics
with the lamp assembly that has built in fans
and moonlights.
All the softies have been happy with this
lighting and are growing well.
The lights would go well with a 4ft long tank with softies.
Looking to get $125 for the light. hold for howard
Please respond. We can schedule folks to visit over the weekend
to pickup stuff.
Thanks

Folks,
Thanks to all that have PMed me. I apologize for the delay in updating
the items. I had to leave for NC wednesday evening and hence the delay
I am relocating and have decided to tear down the 2 year old 120G reef tank.
The tanks is a 4x2x2ft reef ready. It was custom built by glasscages.
Comes with dual overflow chambers and 1.5" durso standpipes. It has glass
bracing and no plastic center brace to melt. The tank is in good shape. Only
one 1" long minor scratch on the inside and is not obvious. One would need
at least 4 strong folks to lift the tank.
I also have 300lbs of southdown sand in the tank that can be had for free.
The sand bed has an eggcrate shelf, so no sand stirring and hence no deteritus
mixup. The sand below the top layer is as good as new.
The sump is a 29G tall and has a 1" bulkhead installed. I installed some baffles
to suppress the mico-bubbles.
The stand and canopy are DIY.
The plan is to sell the Corals first, then the fish and followed by the hardware.
I plan to setup a 360 or so in a couple of months when i am settled in NC, so will
keep some of my hardware like the reactors/chiller/closed loop pump etc.
Here are the details.
Hardware
120G Tank $150
29G Sump $20
stand $40
canopy $15( furniture only)
Package Deal of $200 - Reserved by Tri Bui
If someone wants to purchase the lighting along with the canopy, we can discuss
about it. I currently have 2 250W 10K MH and 2 110W VHO in the canopy along
with 2 Radio shack fans.

someones munching em.
My entire colony of zoos are almost gone.
The Hippo had a snack in the 120.
Moved em to the 42G softies tank to save.
The bi-color angel started the nip. Took em out.
The bi-color taught the lemon peel to nip, who was
a good citizen until the bad one was introduced.
So in all, its the munching fish , at least in my case.

It is a better idea to go with a hole that would support 1.5" bulkhead. A 1"
plumbing for the drain can only handle a 500gph pump. When i tried to use
a 700gph pump, it was too powerful to the point where the tank would overflow.
You should just go with a single hole . The glass is not strong enough for 2 holes
on a single pane.
I have a 1" drain, with an external durso fitting. The external durso was per Michael's suggestion. Has been working great.

Eddi,
Knowing the way the canopy on the 125 is fixed, i would go with the
multiple layers of screen.
One of my XM10K got cracked. Just caught it in time before it exploded.
This was the one that came from Hello Lights. Anyway, after i just
swapped it out with a new one, a week later, my tenius is not happy.
The very same tenius that has done well under 6500K sakis and then
the 10K XM is kind of withdrawn. Hope it survives. I have moved it to
a spot where the intensity is less.
Nevertheless, i read an article that all it takes is 30 minutes for
photo inhibition to occur. Keeping the lights off for 45 minutes did not
help recover.
So the best protection is to go with one week of swap out at a
time for each new lamp and in addition, the area lit by the lamp
should go thru the 3 or 4 layer eggcrate shield. A small insurance to
avoid a meltdown.

I PMed him as well. No response yet. He lives somewhere close to me.

I found the pH drop to 10.4. There was a ton of residue left in the
reactor. I emptied it out , cleaned it and added new kalk. The ph is
good now. The tank is also stable. This is something i should have done
sooner and not after letting the hair algae make a comeback. When the
pH was high enough, the hair algae were all turning white and
disappearing. I think the reactor is precipitating phosphate quite well.
So i plan on doing the clean up and reloading once every month or 45
days depending on the effluent pH.

David,
I have 2 irons. One is the heavy duty gun and the other is the very low
watt one for handling SMD stuff. I normally use the gun on the PCB.
I can bring it with me. I have the wire cutter as well.
Solder/rosin flux, multimeter. what else we need?

Either day are good for me.
Doug, got the package. Was scared at first to pick up
not knowing who placed it there

Folks,
I apologize that i havn't been keeping up with all the posts. I just checked
the thread to see if we are gonna make it for Sunday. It appears not. I am
available for next weekend. We can still make a few units if everyone is not
going to be around.
Doug, you can drop off the stuff at my place. No issues.
Vegas, wow. Will be a good blast. Have fun.

Michael,
Look at ebay. You should be able to purchase at those prices.
Anything that can do gas at say atleast
100PSI should do good.
Good luck

Howard,
The chinese gent sounds fine, given that he has sold to umpteen folks on ebay.
On the modus operandii, the 2 float switches are connected back-to-back ( in series).
If the lower one gets stuck and keeps the circuit closed, water will flow in until
the one higher touches water and disconnects the circuit.
-krish
-
Howard et all,
Good job.
Kudos that you are all able to find the time for getting this going.
Here is my count.
If the chinese order works fine, i will take 4 float switches.
Regarding the PCB & Kit, i will go with 2 units.
I can cover for Kannan who needs 2 float switches and 1 PCB + kit.
Luke is out of town. I know the guy is running
his pump on the float switch direct 110V. :-)
Will reconfirm again. But he does want the float switches per my last
conversation with him.
