My idea for a Remote deep sand bed/refigium

I see a problem with having baffles dividing the sand bed. If you're going to do it that way, I would not have any sand in the last area where the pump is, or, simply dispense with the baffles themselves. There's really no need to have them unless you're trying to disperse the flow through the refugium.

Is there anyway you can go without a return pump? I have found it difficult to match a return to the overflow on the fuge. Im sure it can be done, but just an idea, to have overflow from tank to refuge, and then instead of return pump, just let the refuge overflow into your sump(assuming u have one) its what ive always done with great success. this lets the water flow smoothly, and elliminates the extra heat, pump, electricity usage, etc. Just my 2 cents
