Retro Reefers 40 breeder

Recommended Posts

Thought I would share my new tank with the community..  my goal was to set up the best possible Reef Tank with the least investment of time and money. The tank just turned 1 year old and so far has been doing fantastic!  The rock is from the Florida Keys and a lot of the live stock was transferred from my existing pico tanks.

This is a full shot, the mini tank sitting on my control center is plumbed to the main system and serves as a place to grow a little macro algae and house critters expelled from main tank =)

Thank you!  For a smaller tank I love the 40 Breeders dimensions, and for $50 what’s not to love.. lol

The engine..  Turned the sock section into a small fuge, chemistry is maintained primarily with Kalkwasser dosed with a BRS parasitic pump. I manually dose 2 part and mag as needed to keep things in line.
