I went down the route of a pre fabricated particle board covered stand, but I was extremely unhappy with all of them. @Ben A built me a fantastic stand that will last forever.

I did some research on these stands. Not all stands are equal unless they are specifically made for your tank.

Some stands expect that majority weight is transferred on the stand where the table top meet the base joints.

So if you have a NUVO tank or any tank which doesn't rest over the points where the tabletop meets its base. The tabletop will cave in slowly.

I am currently using this bow front stand from Petco: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/aqueon-cherry-bow-front-aquarium-stand

My nano is 13.5 gallon and it was able to hold 16 gallons max.

Do some research on how the table's support is constructed and also read on multiple sites for user reviews of same model what issues they have encountered with different brand tanks. Based on the price point - the tabletop should be made sturdy enough to hold your 22 gallon but just make sure.

22 gallon tank, plus water, sand, etc will weigh over 220 lbs (8 lbs per gallon of water = 176 lbs). I had a 10 gallon tank on a dresser top as a kid - and over time, that little bit of weight even messed up and sagged the dresser top.

Hmm. Will console cabinet do the job?

I was looking at some of sturdy solid wood built ones.  AQUAMAXX doesnt make the stand...

I use a different one from the same company (Ameriwood Home Cove) for my Nuvo Fusion 20. Haven't had it long, so can't speak to longevity, but seems sturdy enough and gets the job done. Cheap, fits perfectly, and much cheaper and better looking than the IM stands.

I'm saying, reach out to him, he will build a stand for you, I think he's just got a little wait time!

If you dont need it "tomorrow", I can help you design a stand and build it for you. Just send me a PM and I can work with you to see what you want and what would be in your budget.

Hi

You'd be better off flipping the bookshelf.  The way you have it now, the weight of the tank is resting on the strength of the nails/screws.  Realistically, the way the weight transfers will make a huge impact on the ability of a stand/furniture to hold a tank.  You want the top plank so that it's fully over the supporting beams.  Think of the way the top of the "T" comes over the leg of the letter.  You don't need it to necessarily overlap across the whole top, but you do want it to rest on the top of the support beam.  Otherwise, all the weight is resting on the screws.  Now, with the supporting beams (i.e., the separations for the various compartments) will help with that, but it's still not ideal.
