Pictured below is one of my frogs pawns that has a weird slime below the base of the stalks that goes all the way down to the plug. Anyone have a clue on what this is?

This is just a guess. I am not a super coral expert. Corals tend to slime for a bunch of reasons. The only times I have seen my LPS slime has been disease or exposure to bright lights/air which I guess is how corals protect themselves from the sun/elements on the reef. So now I just ask myself is the coral healthy? If its disease it would go downhill quickly most of the time i.e. brown jelly. So whats the coral been acting like? If its healthy I would just let it be if it were me.

It’s healthy and have had this stuff for a few months. I’m really just curious if anyone has ever seen anything like this and if there’s any harm scraping it off.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll let things work themselves out.
