GOSKN5 April 16, 2019 Share April 16, 2019 Is it ok to use a valve to slow down a DC return pump? I need extremely slow flow for a new tank and have placed a valve inline to slow it down.. any issues? Big Country April 16, 2019 Share April 16, 2019 As long as the valve is on the output side of the pump should be fine

YHSublime April 16, 2019 Share April 16, 2019 Wouldn't it make sense just to grab a smaller pump?
GOSKN5 April 16, 2019 Author Share April 16, 2019 Tank is already plumbed and this pump is installed... plus its what I have on hand..Also, I'm not sure a smaller pump would have the head pressure to get water up from the sump even at a slower rate..
