Big Country January 15, 2019 Share January 15, 2019 Can you use grey SCH40 electrical conduit for a drain on an aquarium? It says SCH 40 right on it and Im not using it for return just drain For some reason the white Charlotte SCH40 pipe will not fit the fittings on my shadow overflow. HD sells JM Eagle white SCH 40 that fits for some reason, its just a touch smaller.

Big Country January 18, 2019 Author Share January 18, 2019 Any thoughts on using this pipe for drain? I'm going to Lowe's and Home Depot this weekend to pick up plumbing and lumber to get the new build started

Origami January 18, 2019 Share January 18, 2019 Nothing seems to preclude its use. The size and material is consistent with standard PVC used for plumbing. For drain use it should be fine.
realypk January 24, 2019 Share January 24, 2019 (edited) I have a shadow overflow and its really tight you really have to make sure your giving it a good large champer and smooth it out, light champer wont work on these in my experience.
