Wife gave me permission to build a small fish pond beside our porch..

Took me a 3 day weekend and a good amount of sweat haha..

Just wanted to share the finished product!98ba9343cbb76da491125ca5437231ad.jpg6a4b6ffca4044df4456065b6fb14dcd5.jpge5d35343b705dcc85c29de60809c5a77.jpg5c75335f2d0ddf1d1a0cca1d98fd45d4.jpg7009a29e525c2b679fefaadef111d3d1.jpgeb0689a2ed995b812c8109f398c0568d.jpg0214abc0d704e47a47cc4391f011e09f.jpg

Sweet. How did you plumb it and how deep is it? I'd love to see more pictures of the build as it progressed. Is power delivered by the extension cord across the porch or are you going to bury power?

And, you dug that all by hand? Hard work!

Thanks! It's 2 foot deep at the deepest and has two shelves on the sides that are 8"-12" or so.. power is from the porch, but the cord has been hidden and will be behind/under the trim...

Yes by hand... haha.. very rocky soil... all of the rocks used were excavated when our home was built... so that's what I had to dig through haha

I'd want to get my backhoe out. Probably overkill though!

That's what I used when I was leveling out my back yard. I dug the preliminary shape and finished by hand.

Nah. They're fish food. It's so natural a fish food that midge and mosquito larvae fly fishing lures are common and often quite effective.
