I'm wondering what test kits everyone uses and why? Especially looking for Kh (Alk), Cal, Mag, Po4 and No3. I'm using Red Sea now but haven't been happy with them.

+1 along with Apex probes

What apex probes do you use as well? Also I'm looking into Hanna since I use RedSea now. I think I've heard the Hanna Cal tester has had mixed reviews most of them bad have others here had problems.

Apex probes I use are pH, ORP, Temperature, and Salinity.

Hanna Testers I use are Alk, UL Phosphate, and Calcium.

The Calcium tester is the only Hanna tester that takes some brains and accuracy on the testers part. I have had good luck with it.

Salifert makes great test kits. Used them for a long time. Last couple of years been using Hanna and Red Sea. Just got tired of reading the tiny syringe numbers. Red Sea uses syringes too, but find the numbers a little larger and they don't wear off the syringe. Also like using glass instead of plastic.

salifert for ca, alk, no3,p04, mg. Been using them for nearly 20 years.

The kits are probably expired now....20 years is a long time.

Well let's see what kind of results I get now and compare them all. Might even send water out to lab and see which is most accurate.
