motti May 15, 2015 Share May 15, 2015 I found this thing while cleaning my aquarium today. It's hard to the touch and almost impossible to pry off
motti May 15, 2015 Author Share May 15, 2015 Could it be the abalone I got several months ago?
mogurnda May 16, 2015 Share May 16, 2015 Looks like a chiton to me. Harmless grazing mollusc.
braden May 16, 2015 Share May 16, 2015 Nah, you got a chiton! Lucky you! It's an herbivorous mollusc; eats about the same stuff as an abalone.
motti May 16, 2015 Author Share May 16, 2015 Looks like a chiton to me. Harmless grazing mollusc. Cool thanks! I think I got one of those when I just got the first cleanup crew, he was around 1/2 an in he then and didn't have any interesting colors. He must be at least 1.5-2 inches now. Too bad he hangs out in a part that is not visible from the front
braden May 16, 2015 Share May 16, 2015 ...and, yes, they're practically impossible to pry off. You'd probably seriously injure it (and possibly yourself) in the process.
