Bruce's (bbyatv) New 150

Here goes another one. I am crossing my fingers that I do not burn this one to the ground or have a tank crack.

My 150 was spawned from a 30g:
http://wamas.org/totm_previous.php?prev=totm-2008-03

That grew to a 90g
http://wamas.org/forums/topic/20640-bruces-bbyatv-larger-mixed-reef/?hl=bbyatv

That burned:
http://wamas.org/forums/topic/43170-bad-fire-on-my-90g-looking-for-new-one/

And morphed into a 120 that cracked:
http://wamas.org/forums/topic/44757-wtb-120g-4-foot-long/

That has now blossomed into a 150.

Here starts a new positive good luck tank. (I hope)

I bought the tank from Mr Rock (Thanks Derrick http://wamas.org/forums/topic/44964-mr-rock-is-the-man-and-he-has-lots-of-nice-stuff-for-sale/)

Here it is shortly after initial set-up.
(Notice the DIY tray under the stand to catch any water that might explode from the tank during a fire or crack)

Thanks for looking.

Tank looks great Bruce. I miss my old 150 like that, great dimensions. Everything looks really good. What are you doing for lighting on this tank.?

Kevin,

Thanks a bunch. In this 150g I am getting the best colors I have ever gotten. I have very stable parameters at the moment and I like the lighting. Next time you are over, I think you will appreciate the coral colors.

Thanks again,

Bruce

That tank looks GREAT Bruce, your corals seem to be making a very healthy recovery from your recent tank issues!

Some recent pics of the 150 at 7 months old.

Picture quality kinda sucks. They are from a cell phone.

Thanks. Many of the corals had come from my previous tanks so they were pretty good size when they went in. The 150 is starting to settle in.

Bruce

That looks pretty amazing for 7 months of growth!

I was about to ask about what steriods you were supplying. Eitherway, it looks great!

I've seen this tank in person when Bruce helped me out with some chaetomorpha. It is a first class tank and looks like it has matured in place for years.

Bruce, this is a gorgeous tank and from what I've seen you are doing a first class job on it. Let's hope there are no more disasters in your future.

Yes. I believe it is a Antollogorgia Bipinnata (Purple Sea Plume).

Thanks for the nice comment.

Bruce

Nice tank! What kind of gorg is that? I'm assuming photosynthetic, right??

Here is a FTS following the break down on 11/5/2013 to remove all mushrooms from the tank.  They started killing SPS.  Once they started getting after my Purple Monster, that was the final straw.  They had to come out.
