Pacific East Aquaculture July 12, 2011 Share July 12, 2011 Hey guys, just wanted to make sure you all were aware that we will be attending Fragfest this weekend! Have any suggestions for what kinds of goodies Kyle should bring with him? Let us know. Plus as always, you are welcome to place preorders for Kyle to deliver at the meeting. See you all there! reefbox July 15, 2011 Share July 15, 2011 Hey Dr. Mac! Glad to hear you're coming down to our neck of the woods. You should bring some acanthastrea lords with you. :D
Pacific East Aquaculture July 15, 2011 Author Share July 15, 2011 Kyle will be bringing a mix of corals and clams to the meeting. We will be getting in a huge shipment from Australia later next week coming directly from THE Acan specialists in Australia-these guys supply Acans to almost every other exporter over there and we always get some amazing pieces from them, plus a bunch on Bali mariculture corals arrive this weekend, and 1000 new Maxima clams arrive this Wednesday, so we will be jammed full for the social at our facility August 13. If you haven't been out before this will be an event not to be missed.
reefbox July 16, 2011 Share July 16, 2011 Well , that's good to hear. I've never been to one of those events. I'll be sure to check one out sometime. Looking forward to picking up some corals from you. - Reefbox.
Pacific East Aquaculture July 16, 2011 Author Share July 16, 2011 Beyond the fact that Vendors are selling corals, clams, etc. and you can get some killer deals at the meetings including trading or selling and buying from other hobbyists, the club meetings are a great event if you are into the hobby. The WAMAS group is a very good club and you will be among a lot of other reef hobbyists and learn a lot. I think they are must attend events if you are in the area and serious about reef keeping. reefbox July 16, 2011 Share July 16, 2011 I'm going to be joining them tomorrow. Wamas looks like the place to be, even for the "seasoned" reefkeeper. I've been keeping reef tanks on and off for the past 6 years, but I'd really like to have someone else to talk to about it. All of my friends, while amazed at the sight of marine fish and corals, don't seem to share my enthusiasm for it. On another note, I thought that you had mentioned something about Kyle being able to bring pre-ordered items with him? Is it possible to have him bring the mismatched snowflake ocellaris pair with him?
Pacific East Aquaculture July 17, 2011 Author Share July 17, 2011 I'll have Kyle bring the clowns. He is bringing the band saw also to demonstrate coral fragging and we are donating some corals to be fragged up.
