Lee Stearns April 11, 2005 Share April 11, 2005 steve outlaw - I saw the picture of your torch. Looked like two heads. I would leave it alone for right now. I will reserve you the chaeto. And put you down for capnella, yellow colony, some zoos and some green star polyps. Get things stabilized and growing and you will have plenty by the next meeting. Mighty Mouse sarcophyton is Toad stool- a very easy forgiving leather- If you get the long polyped variety or the yellow variety they are very attractive in my view. They will grow huge, so one needs to prune them to keep them in thier niche, or give them a very large niche. Some folks in the club have them more than a foot in diameter. HowardofNOVA April 12, 2005 Share April 12, 2005 I've been reading lately about a way to frag mushrooming type corals like Sarcophyton is to ring the head out. I believe my Sarcophyton has reached that level and will try to set it up on rocks this week along with the following for trades if anyone is interested: Sarcophyton (Frag to ScubaTodds) Yellow Sinularia Green Sinularia Capinella Pulsing Xenia (maybe on this one) GSP - Andrea's Frag Finger Leather Corals Picture of my tank: In exchange, I would be interested in: Yellow Leather Sarcophyton (ScubaTodds) Zoo's Favia's PM upon your request? It is approximately 10" across, when polyps are retracted. I pulled a 6 headed frag off of it when we moved the tank and you couldn't even notice where it was missing from. I subsequently split the frag and shared it with Howard. I would guess there are at least 20 heads on the torch. Quite impressive.
