With respect to the unknowns, I would guess austera (BRK unknown #1), granulosa (BRK #2), and tenius (Dr. Mac unknown). I have one just like the Dr. Mac unknown and it had the darker brown polyps until I put it in a high flow area and then all the polyps turned translucent like yours in the foreground. Funny thing is that when I was not treating it right, its body color was just a pretty deep dark blue without contrast.

Cool, thanks! I will add that to my notes.

I likey the cabbage! Different.

Yea that cabbage is cool. it is really tough, even though it is a soft coral it is almost hard like a stoney.

Gorgeous Eye-Candy, Bob.

+1 on the Cabbage. Didn't realize they had a variety with neon green polyps. Very nice find.

BTW, I use a tripod and remote shutter release.

I do need to buy a remote release fo my shots, so I have been somewhat limited wit respect to how long my shutter speed can be.

I have an older manual lens (Nikon Micro Nikkor 55mm f/3.5 AI'd & M2 Extension Ring ) I am using to have some fun with. The lens must be 40+ years old, but it is in great shape and I picked it up for 100 dollar. For my purposes, it has been a great learning tool. I am sure I can get some better shots, right now I have only been adjusting the 3 basic paramters (shutter, aperature, and iso) with mixed results. To be honest I am not sure if messing with the other parameter will buy me anything.. look forward to the pics...
