Plans for denitrification on new tank

Ok so I plan to try to set up my new 55 pretty soon here. Some things I'm considering for filtration aside from the skimmer, sump, circulation pumps/manifold etc.

 

1. Fuge given all tanks should have one no matter, I will have one in the sump, may also have a HOB

2. Remote DSB

3. I've read a lot about this from a number of sources, RC, books, other reefers, etc. A plenum, theory seems sound, what does any one else think?

4. MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYBE a coil denitrator, though the maintanance upkeep and space limitations make this the mostlikely to be scrapped

5. What else takes up very little space and could be benificial to my set up?

having just built and installed a coil denitrator a few days ago, the build is extremely simple, and there is no maintenance. Once built, it just keeps running with no effort. As far as space, it's the same size as a protein skimmer. If you want to make one, I have plenty of 4" pipe left over that you can have. It would be about $15-$20 to build it, and if you want, we can have a build party at my house, and I'll show you how. Very simple to do. I can't speak to it's effectiveness yet, as it takes a few weeks to cycle and start working. Mostly, it's a whole lot of fun to do. THe whole DIY thing is a lot of fun!

whats anyone think about the plenum?

I had a plenum when I started out in the hobby six years back. I made so many other mistakes at the time, I have no take-away. I do not have one now. Yeah I konw, totally useless feedback, but there it is.
