  1. Anyone have experience with the Avast Spyglass reactors? I would like better than dumping a bunch of bags in my sump. My BRS mini reactor clogged after about a day's use so I'm a bit resistant to try their full size reactors. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated b/c I'm not sure it's worth it. Plus, I will have to do a LOT of re-configuring to fit one of these bad boys in my crowded sump.
  2. I just unboxed and hooked up my new BRS GFO/Carbon Reactor with a Maxijet 1200, which is what they recommend, but personally I still feel that it is too loud, I run a Jebao DC 9000 and 6000 for my skimmer and return and I cant hear a thing, but ever since I hooked this thing up earlier it has been bugging me. does anyone have any recommendations for a nice silent(ish) pump I could use, not sure if I have room for another Jebao pump in my sump otherwise I would just buy another one of those. Thanks
  3. So I am already running biopellets in a BRS reactor and recently picked up a second BRS reactor from another WAMAS member to run carbon. I would like to run them in-line, and figure if they need different flow rates I can place the higher-flow unit first and then use a T-fitting with a ball valve to dump excess flow for the second. My question is, for such a configuration, which should come first, the carbon or biopellets? :why:Why that sequence, and what are the downsides if not followed? If one wanted to go one more step and run GFO as well, then what would the sequence be (and why)?
  4. I need to get a Reactor to help me fight some algae growth in my tank... What Do you guys think about this reactor ? They have on sale for $ 53.99
