  1. How did this work for you? Any new ones pop up or all gone for now? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks! Definitely always loved the frag/lagoon style tanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I got it from Nova Tropicals! Great price on it too and reef ready doesn't really take away too much from the dimensions in my opinion! It is 48x24x16 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. My two previous nano's whose livestock now make up the 80g Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Lol yes I will post how my two nano's looked, definitely both packed and in need of the upgrade [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Decided to start up a thread for my 80g tank that I had planned for some time. It is now currently up and running and couldn't be happier with how it turned out! This tank is a combined upgrade of my two previous nano tanks which were my 20g long and my 25g IM Lagoon. The move looks like it went well as I haven't really seen any corals affected negatively and all fish are happy with so much more space enjoying life. Here are some pictures of my tank during the build and soon I will get some pictures of the sump so you guys can check out my simple setup that I think I am happy with! The equipment I am using on this tank is: Tank - Seapora 80g Reef Ready Lights - 3x White AI Prime 16HD Return Pump - Jebao DCP 2500 Sump - 29g Aqueon w/ Fiji Cube DIY Sump Baffle Kit (Left out one panel) Skimmer - Reef Octopus Essence 130 Powerheads - 2x Jebao SW-4 ATO - XP Aqua Duetto Heaters - 2x 300w Finnex Titanium Heater w/ Inkbird Controller
  7. Does anybody have a small sized fish trap that I can borrow to get six line wrasse out of a nano? I've seen the 2 liter diy but I feel like it might be a little too big for my tank since it's shallow, does anybody have one that is not too far from Stafford, VA? If you let me borrow it and want the six line you can have him! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Well my tank is only 4 months old and its like just now going through these algae blooms. So maybe just some ugly stages along with some overfeeding? I guess I could cut back on feeding and just let the tank stabilize more and just starve out algaes. I thought bubble algae doesn't go away with decrease in nutrients?
  9. Oh okay well that's good that it ended up working out for you! I was also even just thinking of just taking out all of my rock from my tank one piece at a time and just manually remove the bubble algae and brush the parts that have lettuce with peroxide just to really get it out of my system and get the majority of it out and then handle it from there once its a lot smaller amount.
  10. So I have my 20g nano tank that is roughly 4 months old now and I have a pretty good breakout of bubble algae and sea lettuce growing everywhere. The lettuce looks like ulva which I guess isn't that bad since its a macroalgae but just doesn't look appealing in the display. I figured maybe a lawnmower blenny could help out with this, but then I started getting the bubble algae in a lot of places. I have seen people recommend emerald crabs, manual removal with a siphon, and vibrant. I was wondering if anybody has had any success with these methods, I wish I could just try manually removing it but I know they say that popping them might let the spores release, but then others say that's only a myth and they need to be a decent size in order to actually have spores to release. Vibrant does sound good as it would also melt away the lettuce I think with a good amount of dosing, but then I hear many drawbacks of vibrant including cyano/dino outbreaks after, corals dying, etc. and just really trying to figure out what to do about this. Any feedback would be great!
