  2. Hi Bruce - Just out of curiosity, how did you get rid of all of those shrooms? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. If we’re talking about maxi-mini nems, I don’t agree with them being NPS. I had a maxi-mini that I got at 4” and grew it to 6” with sparse feeding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I watched a snowflake eat a sebae clown in my first tank when I was a teenager. It was probably my fault, since I was a little late feeding. So the lesson was yes they’ll eat fish in your tank, especially if you’re lax on feeding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I am so bummed I missed this. Would have been a great way to spend the day.
  6. I was using a 120 on a 57 and it did great. The only drawback is that it didn’t have a drain on the collection cup. That said it forced me to keep it clean. I was also running a 160 on an 80 frag tank and think that it over-skimmed the tank and my acros were pale. I did however have a ton of cheato as well which may have contributed to the problem. 7. Yep I’ve been thinking about those concerns too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. FWIW I replace the IM skimmer with the Tunze 9004 and it is quieter and produces better skimmate than the IM skimmer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Here’s a MD video about other products that may fit. Not sure if it has the exact skimmer you’re considering, but thought it might be useful. https://youtu.be/xH5QJ5mSmAE Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. So if you’re going the reactor route I would think cheato would be you’re best bet since I’ve seen a lot of recommendations of going that route with cheato. I’ve got cheato in my fuge area and I’ve noticed that it seems to die off from the bottom. For that reason, I’m looking to replace the cheato with caluerpa in my fuge which was why I +1’d your thread. I’ve seen plenty of cheato offers but not much on caluerpa. 11. +1 not digging the cheato all that much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I have the same one and like it a lot. I do however pull it out of the tank after using it. My thinking is two fold, one I don’t like the idea of keeping a metal blade in my tank though I don’t have any concrete evidence one way or another. And two, I hate it when scrapers grow more corraline than rocks! Sort of kidding I the corraline but I just don’t want all kinds of growth on my scrapers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I know that the ball valves at the Bethesda Home Depot are on the other side of the fittings in the next aisle with all the other types of valves. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I enjoyed this a ton. Reminds me of the days of walking/snorkeling right off A1A in the Keys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
