  1. Pm,sent for 2nd skimmer and orbit Thank you Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  2. Nice job! Really they split to reproduce and only do so when, under optimal conditions.now you have 2 u could keep him or sell him but u did nothing wrong keep it up
  3. As far what corals can touch them really can't have any and if you do u will loose one or the other coral. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  4. Nope they can't so don't put them together. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  5. to tell you the truth my tank runs of the cheap Ebay lights till now ! its amazing how much power they had and my reef tank is thriving.i have so many corals that have outgrown the tank, sps lps sps. some say they r not worth it but really depends on what you are looking for im on tight budget and read so many forums online about the quality and the light output.i wasn't really looking for to pay top dollar for some light that would just about do the same except some have some bells and whistles i don't mind that imo. this year it going to be the 4 year without any problems and has paid for itself 3 times with the coral its has grown. maybe later down the road i will upgrade since the led light industry is ever changing with new tweaks lenses output etc. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  6. I wouldn't really spot feed it but feed the tank I was reading up it may not be the best thing to just blow food at it I could be wrong. Here is a link on some info as for the sand bed it's a good place to start but not a good place to keep I want to put it on some rocks even a small one so it can get it's foot attached. You don't want fish or other critters to flip it. And peck on the flesh it has on the bottom. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61960 Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  7. Pecto doesn't really have good light to begin with so I would aclimate the little guy very slow and not cause any shock and a drip aclimate too Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  8. Nope but it will need good lighting and I would consider buying oyster eggs to feed him or phyto Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  9. I'm sure u can keep it they don't cause a lot of trouble and don't require a whole lot unless it's really small, but if you would like to get rid of the little guy I could take it off your hands. Just let me know or if you need more info on how to care for him. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  10. What type of filtration are you running beside the bio balls? Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  11. Good question I have plenty and I just destroy there little homes if they get to close to,a coral but it is a pain I heard some reefers say they put a dab of reef glue where they pop up from.May work not sure though, same, goes for chemicals not sure that might work since they close up.I'll google more info on them but they r good imo since they capture debrie my 2 cents Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  12. Brush it off man, some people are just like that and nobody can tell you this hobby is not for you because of your financial status, heck I'm running a 50 gallon full reef tank with less then $50 every 4 months prob more I would become a member but I'm tight and reading what others have done has helped me a ton i may not contribute in cash but I do help out every now and then to other memebrrs. I learned with this hobby make do with what you have and what you don't u can always build so stick around pop in from time to time like I do. Happy Reefing✌ Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
  13. Not sure but I think these guys r my neighbor's from a couple of blocks away don't want to jump to anything but I think they operated in Fairfax they must have got a business going.
  14. Well I think it depands on you if you are to reseal,it I would put a new seal on the whole tank and that should last u a while longer If you have the money u could get a new tank but i wouldn't really go out my way to purchase something u can fix. There are some really good sealants now check them out. Some r pricey but beats paying for a tank 100 up. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
