  1. I could be mistaken but it looks like my blue ridge coral that I also picked up from another WAMAS member. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Ok, thanks for your input. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I’ll see if he can send another pic. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Ok, that’s a picture someone had sent of a tank I was thinking of buying. It’s a pretty far drive so I hadn’t seen it yet. I wanted to see if it was worth the drive. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I think that is probably very sound advice. The thought of that much water on my floor is a big deterrent to being cheap! Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I was just looking for some thoughts about the integrity of the glass with a chip on the edge closer to the bottom of a 120 gallon tank. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I had a colony of zoas on there and in the back a patch of the dreaded green palys had started a little bit. She didn't scrape it on that side they were on but still, who knows what could have made it's way over the rock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thank you! We got discharged with a prescription for Doxycycline and instructions to stay out of the sun which should be a challenge since we are going to the beach for a week or next weekend lol. It's just considered cellulitis right now unless it spreads anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Sitting here in the ER with my 12 yo daughter right now. Yesterday I broke down my reef tank and was in the process of chipping some corals off of a large rock when my daughter sat down beside me and scraped her knee very superficially on the rock. I told her to go clean it with hydrogen peroxide but of course she saw a squirrel and didn't go clean it right away and being a frazzled and distracted mother I didn't think about it again (assuming that 12 year olds actually listen to their mothers) until a little later on when she told me it was sore. So, fast forward to last night, the knee is really starting to feel warm to the touch and is getting quite angry looking. So here we are getting checked out. I hope it's not to difficult to treat [emoji53]. So my question is, who else has dealt with an infection from their tank? And anything I should point out to the doctor other than the obvious? This is what it's looking like: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. I don't live in your area but distilled water can fill in for RODI water, especially in a jam. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Much cooler [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I have some. I haven't noticed them needing anything additional and mine are spreading really well after a period of acclimation to my tank. They are placed mid level with moderate lower to moderate flow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. That really stinks. How are you feeling now? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. That hair algae would rate as luxurious. Wow lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Mine eats black worms. He goes after them and snatches them right up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Looks like a nice little colony you got there [emoji1417] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Well, I thought that may be the case but since it's a 125 I keep having visions of the glass imploding like in that Jaws movie and glass and fish going everywhere. Does anyone know of a way of figuring out if it's structurally necessary? I have found very conflicting information so far everywhere I have looked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Ok thanks very much. I'll see what they say. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. So, I was about to start on setting up my 125 and finishing skinning the stand when I saw that I have a crack in the bottom of the frame. One on each side. That was a disappointing discovery to say the least. So, does anyone have any experience with a cracked bottom frame and if there is a way to repair it? I saw that you can order frames from glasscages.com but only up to 90 gallons. Here are some pics to show better what I'm dealing with. Thanks for any input in advance! 21. I also have the Ocean Revives and so far I am very happy with them. I decided after seeing them over all of the corals tanks at Pacific East.
  22. Hi, nope I don't have a flush valve but I agree that it should probably be on my list of things to get. I moved the unit and the PSI is a little higher now, a little over 45. I appreciate all of the input offered. Especially since I'm not very handy with these things (that's why the 125 I had picked up a few months ago is still sitting there wondering when I'm going to figure out how to plumb it for set up [emoji16]) I think I'll try to get a booster pump as well when possible. Little by little! Thanks guys for all your help!
  23. That could be it. I'll keep an eye on it in any case and if it creeps up I'll go ahead and order a new membrane. The psi was higher as well. Right around 50 now. Thanks again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
