  1. I will have to check one of these places out for glass
  2. When you used the aquaclear, did you use carbon and gfo or just either one of them. It looks like it could fit both of them but I don't know if that's possible or if that's a bad idea. Also wondering what bag you used to store the gfo in to make sure none got lose into the tank. Thanks!
  3. okay thanks, that's what I was thinking of doing
  4. so I dont have a sump and I was wondering if anyone has used a hob filter with gfo. If so, what is the exact model of the hob filter you use and how loud is it? I want to use gfo and I think this would be possible, just looking for some insight of local reefers.
  5. Thanks a lot everyone, I am going to try to hook up the ro/di underneath my sink. I greatly appreciate all the advice or I would be lost without it and not know what to do haha
  6. I don't have access to the washer hookup because it is directly behind the washer and drier and have no where to move them to get to it. I am not sure if the hoses just screw off, I haven't tried it. I also am not even sure how to make sure the water is turned off, I am so bad with this stuff hence why I need some serious help haha. Thanks so much for all the suggestions and opinions so far
  7. Hello everyone so I am trying to set up my RO/DI but there is no where to screw it in my apartment. I can not get to the washing machine hookup and the kitchen sink definitely wont work. I tried to take the screen off the bathroom sink but it is not budging and I had it in vinegar all night, budged a little this morning but still cant get it off with a pliers or wrench. Any help would be greatly appreciate it, I also do not want to cut into any of the plumbing
  8. Hello everyone, I have been in reef keeping for over 3 years now but I recently moved to DC so I wanted to join this reef club and start all over. I do not have any equipment yet but I am looking to buy everything now. (you can contact me if you have stuff) I will be building a 55 gallon tank that will be mostly anemones and SPS, I will not be having a sump because my roommate said only one tank and he considered the sump another tank (stupid) so I will just be having a HOB skimmer. I don't think I am allowed to post what I am looking to buy on this page but if someone can direct me to where I can post what I am looking for that would be great, I am pretty much looking for everything as I moved here with nothing haha. I am also looking for insights on where are the good LFS around the area or where I can buy cheap fish, corals, frags and equipment. I greatly appreciate all the help and I look forward to meeting you guys/girls!!
