  1. Hey guys, I am looking for a good beginner's light. I am planning on keeping an RBTA and a few soft corals to start. I bought the Current USA Orbit LED bar, but am returning it based on the condition of the one I received (obviously opened and returned previously). I bought it based on the great price and especially excellent reviews on Amazon. My question is, for what I want to keep initially, would this light serve my needs or would I be better off with T5? I have a 90g 24" deep tank. I like the Orbit because of the price, good reviews, and especially its programmability, but I want what's best for my future critters. No, I cannot afford Kessil or higher end LEDs at this point. The options I am considering would be T5 or ordering a new Orbit. Thanks!
  2. I would rather not use a durso due to noise, and I like the redundancy of having an emergency drain. I don't mind running an over the top return, since it will be covered by the canopy
  3. Thanks guys! If I use the 3/4 as the main drain, does the rest of the plumbing (return line) need to be 3/4?
  4. Hello All, I am setting up my first marine tank, a 90 gallon reef-ready with a single overflow tower. There are two holes drilled, a 3/4" and a 1". I am planning on installing a Herbie drain. My question is, is it worth drilling the smaller hole larger to match the other drain? Or would it be fine to have the main siphon as 3/4" and the emergency drain as 1"? I am planning on having a ~1000 gph return with 1" plumbing. My preference would be to have all the plumbing the same size, but I am weighing if it is worth the risk of drilling. Thanks!
