  1. Super Welcome , #1 way imo, add a small powerhead/pump where you have the deadspots and that'll help the Filter Socks/Skimmer pick up the debris, instead of settling in those dead spots. or, you can just spot clean those areas using a Siphon/GravelCleaner if its not that bad.
  2. The Blackboxes do good... Also there is a Nicer Blackbox that has what your looking for built in. Around $140 I think; grow anything from Acro/SPS to Softies. Sent from my LM-Q610(FGN) using Tapatalk
  3. They do a bit actually. Closer then the Fire and Ice. These came from someone who had them awhile and I've had them myself for over a year now... Possible, but highly doubtful. Lol. Sent from my LM-Q610(FGN) using Tapatalk
  4. Anyone else have any other ideas what they may be? Sent from my LM-Q610(FGN) using Tapatalk

  8. It's been a very slow process in upgrading my "Livestock".this has been a tank which came from the dust, a conversation, that started from old equipment in my shed and one day my buddy shows up at my house with rocks/sand/water all in different buckets; I was bit by the bug again just like that! It was a small 6g Tank that got me back into reef keeping, although it worked for a bit... I upgraded at the first opportunity the right tank came up. I built it in my kitchen and had it wet and running the next day. Coral has always been my true passion and decided to focus on building a tank which showcased corals to be the main attraction that the eye grabs. I wanted a tank focused on corals... I built 20"ish"g w/10g Sump... a Very Low Budget, EASY TO MAINTAIN Saltwater Reef Tank! 2 Heaters, 1 Return Pump, 1 Powerhead, 1 small Skimmer, as well as a LED Light from Amazon/Ebay. Of course a Tiny LED Light for the Chaeto/Sump; I found in my Garage from an older build. I top it off manually as I haven't had the funds for an ATO, which just makes it more simple atm. Recently for the past 2 months its been Treated Tap Water for Top-Off and and a upcoming Water Change from the same source. I add a Additive 3-4x a month and haven't had a Water Change in over 3 months at this moment. [emoji38][emoji28] Sent from my LM-Q610(FGN) using Tapatalk
  9. PM me if you want to try the reactors. I have 2 or 3 kinds for sale atm, many have great experience switching to a reactor. Sent from my LM-Q610(FGN) using Tapatalk
  10. It's dieing, you should frag it immediately and bring me a piece; I just put beer in the fridge![emoji51][emoji6] Its a normal thing in my experience; I believe its when they split heads, if I remember right... Beautiful Tank btw! Sent from my LM-Q610(FGN) using Tapatalk
  11. I seem to have the same issue as you, but I've never had/noticed before... :/ I feel its worse then ever before?!?!(maybe its just me who has that feeling) Sent from my LM-Q610(FGN) using Tapatalk
  12. Welcome to WAMAS! If you are reading this from a computer, at the top they'll be tabs, there is a list and map of LFS for you to check out. Everyone here seems to prefer their "own store".lol The BEST deals you will find, will come from fellow members in this group tho'! *RaNdOm FaCt... I only have 1 coral in my tank bought from a store, Everything else I have got from fellow members. To answer your question, there is more of a demand in the area for SPS then LPS and Softies... You can find both no problem.lol I do warn you tho'... being apart of this group, may end up changing your mind and keeping a small reef tank of your own.lol
  13. So what are the thoughts on what you'll be doing?
  14. Can anyone spare some Pre-Made water near Sterling, VA 20164? I can bring yah' a beer or a few dollars... just 7 gallons(All I can carry)or whatever, should work perfectly fine. I know there are other ways,etc... Just figured I'd ask our community here first as in the past I have been helped before. Thank You! I hope everyone had a Great Weekend as well!!!!
  15. Thats what I thought... I was hoping I could control the intensity level by the hour(etc) as well... but all good. just a Internal timer. copy that. Thanks.
  16. A-a-ron, that is what I thought before, but after some recent research it seems as tho' they are not all the same as before. I found the one Viparspectra works w/internal timer, and I am still researching, but it seems to have "Ramp Up" more or down as well which is an amazing feature I have never experienced for my own tanks. Lynn.Reef, I used to run an old Reefbreeder which was the exact same as the Mars Aqua, or so it seems. Did yours have the programmable settings??
  17. Has anyone tried the lights listed above or one similiar?
  18. It is a 20someting. (Sorry, forgot) I plan on keeping SPS and Softies, LPS... a Mixed Reef ideally.
  19. There are MANY Options on Amazon from a $100(roughly) price point as well... I do not need all the bells and whistles as storms,etc... I can hookup to a Timer since I already have them... I sold my old lights like a dummy when I sold my tank but was in a tight spot. :/ I have added a few pics of what options are... I don't want to run too much power as well as tank is small and it effects bills eventually.lol Looking to make a decision by Sunday latest... Sent from my LM-Q610(FGN) using Tapatalk
