Well I just picked up my acrylic tube's and ordered the silicon oring, kynar fittings and screws. Hope to start working on this in the next 2-3 weeks. Should be an easy project once everything is in. Dandy - Did you use 3/16 fittings on everything? -Dave

Thanks for the info dandy. I will have my RKL with a ORP probe to keep the ORP in line. Should be getting the materials next week for the reactor. For the time being my new golden dwarf moray will have to keep me busy -Dave

Found the formula! So I am going to have ~60 gallons of water total. Running a 25mg/hr that is adjustable. Starting out do you think it is safe to do 5/10mg and work my way up from there? Only reason I was thinking a smaller pump was because my reactor is smaller but if you think it wont be able to handle the pressure I'll trust you. -Dave

Thanks for the reply. Do you mind to tell me where you picked up the silicon oring? I hate having to pick up one oring and pay shipping! With the back pressure do you just use a small fitting that you can adjust? With the MJ1200, did you have to cut it back or does the back pressure do that for you? I will post pictures, I have my sanders unit and just put the order in for the tube from a local place around town. I did not see the formula that you had posted. Think you could post that on here again or shoot me a PM? I needed to use a smaller footprint only because I dont have a ton of room to work with. My new tank build will be 30x22x18 so the stand only has 30x22 space, hence why I went a little bit smaller. On a side note I am doing a really cool DIY build for a hybrid tank. PVC bottom, glass sides. I can post pictures when I am finished with that too. Thanks guys! -Dave

Well I am new to the boards but this is the best DIY build for a ozone reactor I have seen. I am in the process of doing my own also and wanted a few tips. This is what I plan on running.... Corallife Luft Pump BRS Air Dryer Sanders 25mg/hr DIY Ozone reactor being fed from a MJ or mini-jet Shorty Media reactor w/ ROX carbon Then to my sump My tank is only 50ish gallons. I plan one using left over 3/8's acrylic for the top and bottom base. 3" Cast Acrylic Tube 13" tall, SS 0-15 PSI gauge, 1/2 inlet and outlet, two 1/4 inlet for ozone and 1/4 pressure relief for excess pressure/ozone running into a carbon filter. I will be using the bio-bale material as this looks like the most promising material. My few Q's, the pressure relief for the excess pressure/ozone, will there be some water running through this or should it be completely dry? The Luft pump is adjustable I should be running it around 3-5 psi? Also should I have a line running to the bottom of the reactor from the inlet of ozone so it reacts longer with the water?
