  1. Why..? 1.) Bc there nerds with nothing better to do or 2.) To profit more money bc it has a silly fake name *Along the same lines of what your asking, do any "actual" scientists name theme..?
  2. I think pygmy angels are as common as six line and royal grammas... What about the black cap basslet, or some of the cool psuedochromis (dottybacks) that are out there..?
  3. Im sure David can chime in on extension, I know he was doing some research on it, but mine arent always extended all the time either.. You may want to move it and see what it does, tryputting it on the bottom near the rocks and see how it reacts..? There is nothing wrong with being concerned, its much better thing than not careing and ignoring potential problems..
  4. I think t looks fine as well, but I also agree with bruce, mine usually stay low or in caves, currently you cant even see bc its on the inside of a rock structure.. Have you been feeding it at all..? I never target feed, just curious if you are feeding it.. And the tank it came from does run around 76 degrees usually.. But I doubt that matters though..
  5. WE SHOULD ALL PRACTICE WEARING GLOVES MORE OFTEN...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Main lights or moon lights..? I recently got a NC12 that I plan to use LEDs on, just to see what I think before I consider a change on my main display tank... Nano custons have LED kits for Nano hoods, maxspect makes a small nano sized fixture, along with several others and there are PAR38 bulbs which would work well on a Nano..
  7. People have permits for marijuana and guns, doesnt give them the right to share those items with others, does it..?
  8. On the other side of this legal/illegal duel, are the zooanthids even japanese, has anyone found that out yet.. Bc if there not, then its simply mislabeled and should be sold for much cheaper
  9. LMAO... Very distasteful, but I love it..!!
  10. Look at AI led systems, maxspect, exotic, and many others out there... Tons of options and variety of prices, only the PAR38's are spotlights, the others are regular fixtures... But they are fairly expensive.. Also what size tank are you thinking of getting and what are you trying to stock for corals..?
  11. In all of your marine/reef purcases this WILL be the BEST $20 a year you will ever spend..!!
  12. Let nature take its course.. Keep your fish fed and healthy.. I suppose if you want to put it down, then thats the choice you made, otherwise, just leave it be..
  13. You should look into the oceanic illuminata ( i think) Its a 57g gallon rimless with overflow.. Really nice looking tank and reasonably priced, very aestheticly pleasing.. I know 57 is more than the 46 line you were drawing, but you dont have to tell her the truth, I think its a 36" long, so similar dimensions.. I have seen them at petland forsale, and im sure other local vendors can get them aswell.. I think its really worth looking into..
  14. Haha, thats a great way to look at it..!! Billy has the money jungle growing over there..!!
  15. On a side not, I think the chalice prices are even more ridiculous..!! But they do look F'n awesome..!
  16. Not you billy, your the smart one banking off it..!! I think most people buy the hornets JUST to make some money off the frag, which isnt a bad financial move, unless the "hornet stock market" crashes... But when was the last time any stock market crashed, c'mon, that never happens...

IS that an encrusting goniopora..? Those can be extremely hard to keep, but I understand the encrusting have much better survival rate.. Those are some nice looking pieces though, im sure it will really help set your tank off... I'd say you did well on your shopping trip..!
  18. Those are nice, look better than a lot of the hornets.. I think the zoas, esp hornets that are priced that high is such a scam.. But people are still big enough morons to keep paying it..
  19. If you online reeftopia.com isnt bad, ive used them several times and had very good experiences.. The one lst summer I believe was set up by sean at F&F, that went really well also..! Im interested if you do one..
  20. six lines are active, but they spend a lof of there activity in the rocks, I think there are a lot of other wrasses that will give you more of what your looking for, like a carpenter wrasse, flasher wrasse, velvet wrasse.. IMO they spend more time in the open areas.. But, I do love watching my six line clean the other fish, that part is really cool and its a great scavenger.. Ha, I feel like I just contradicted myself, either way wrasses are awesome fish.. Oh, or you could get some blue reef chromis, very pretty and active.. And you probably dont see more bellus' bc of the nice price tag that comes with them.. I got mine from another member ata great price, and would love to have another, but not for $100+..
  21. Get a Bellus Angel.. Beautiful, very active and not coral munchers..!!
  22. you can use clamp lamps, they have white and black ones at target, $10 ea. Its always good to make a plan before making a purchase. Just my $0.02..
  23. I think he is talking about a remote DSB, not in the display.. Lynn, someone else was just asking about DSB's and coral hind posted a great link with lots of info about, just scroll back though gen discussion, its there..
