Yes, I am using 7 and 10. I was in a hurry yesterday. Normally I watch the numbers and when it settles on a number for a whole minute I consider that good. I just tried to speed up the process yesterday by telling myself that when the numbers settled for a few seconds that it was good. Like everything else in this hobby, nothing good happens quickly. Will recalibrate this evening and see if I get something more logical, will see if I have a PH test kit handy to check against.

I've always wondered how long to wait when calibrating a PH probe. The instructions say to let it settle, when is that? My ACIII readout just says settling, have never seen it say settled. I've let it sit in the calibration solution for 15 minutes in the past, tried something different last night and watched the numbers, when they stopped moving I hit select and moved on. When the probe calibrated it told me my PH was 8.45, never seen it that high so I doubt that the probe is correctly calibrated.

I gave up on the BRS probes after getting one that wouldn't calibrate out of the box. I just get the pinpoint or neptune standard probes and haven't had any problems.

I don't always go to the VA meetings but looking forward to this one

Richard just installed a large display/sales reef in his basement that looks great. I am glad that I found ERC, great corals at great prices, he's always full of information and very helpful. Definitely worth the trip, I'm glad he's in Maryland

I have the deep blue rimless 60 frag RR, it has a great footprint 48x24. The 60 or 80 would either make a nice reef, the 80 is taller with same footprint

How about a deep blue 60 or 80? Or a 40 breeder? A standard 55 is just so narrow it doesn't make a very good SW tank.

Like Tin, my green birdsnest was up high under the Evergrow LED's when it grew like a weed, did better lower under my 250w MH's

My ponape definately likes lower light to grow best. My green birdsnest and my purple polyp both grow like weeds when put under high light.

What kind of pellets is everyone using? I've been running pellets for quite some time and still have algae issues, really wonder if the pellets I have are just snake oil.

Rob, What brand of biopellets are you using?

I always had the bulb 15" off the water, using the same pendants, never had a problem. Measured to bulb, not the bottom of the fixture
