Tang

Tang (6/13)

  1. I have 1 3/4 and 2 1/2 if you are interested...
  2. OK, here is the deal. After having a 220 gallon predator tank for about two years I had to break the tank down and replace the stand. So after thinking I would like to make the predator a reef tank. I would like some suggestions on what the differences would be. I have heard that even the sand had to be reaclimated due to its high content of poop or nitrates. Also, I have a set of eight T5's that are hanging over the tank. What would adequate lighting for the tank be? Should I get the tank drilled for a closed loop? I never had a clean up crew in the tank so I know I need to invest in a crew. I have a magnificent foxface, and a sohal tang that I am keeping but would also like to know what wildlife you would add? I had about six maxijet 1200 going on in there but would like to get rid of them and save on some electricity.
  3. Found out last night when talking to BRK staff that they eat zoa's. Have you ever heard of such a monster? I thought they were neat because they took on these pretty neon colors. Yeah, found out that the reason they turn that color is that is the color of the zoa they just ate! Gotta kill them before I get any more zoa's. Anyone got the cure, cause I got it bad!
  4. Thanks for the "how to" I really appreciate the effort. Now if I could only get better pictures to post. My camera is poo poo and I cannot get an closer to what Im shooting through the tank.
  5. I have some small neon (I think) nudibranches in my tank. Actually I dont have a clue what they are. The have neon green or red, or orange horn looking things on their backs. These little creatures have one of these colors per creature. Not multi color. Does anyone have them? And if so are they good or bad?
  6. I know the pictures are bad, bud can anyone identify this bug and is he a goodie or baddie? Does anyone know how to put pictures up? I get the following error message: The total filespace required to upload all the attached files is greater than your per post or global limit. Please reduce the number of attachments or the size of the attachments. The file is a .jpg and it is 7.24kb. Please advise if I doing something wrong thanks. I will post the bugs in my gallery. Im kinda scared that they like to eat coral.
  7. I like my zoa's though.
  8. I see it growing towards some dendro's...
  9. Yeah, I have a 6 inch rock covered in zoa's. Now you can see the sponge growing between the polyps. Also, it is growing on the shell of one of my clams. So I dont know how long I can have the sponge airborn before I start effecting the clams and zoa's. Anyone?
  10. I got that grey ickey looking sponge that is starting to sprout everywhere. Who and what will eat it? Doc, I need the cure! Its starting to push my zoa's off of rocks.
  11. Im in. Why dont you all just give me the stuff now? How about we bring a scale to BRK and weigh in once a week? We can update a WAMAS spreadsheet?
  12. I have two heads. One is about an inch and a half around. One is about a quarter size. Right now I just feed the big one is munching on a two inch silverside. The small one is eating a one inch silverside.
  13. That is your old Dentro that I got from you at the group buy last year. He just keeps getting bigger and bigger but no babies. Maybe he is a loner!
  14. It will take your finger. Feed me seamore!
  15. I was thinking about getting one of these. They are very pretty but have never seen one in person. Are they hard to care for? What do they eat? Lighting? water temp?
