Many USPS Problems Recently

So long story short, I found a guy who is willing to trade his ATI 8x24w for my ATI 6x24w, both are old style non led powermodule units. You would question, why would he do that? and the reason is because that light is too much for this tank and needs new reflectors. So the agreement was that he would sent me his unit and once I received it and swap it out with my tank, I would send him my unit. He sent the unit on 01/04/18 via USPS and I haven't received it yet. From the USPS tracking number (9461209699937237502692), it looks lost, tracking info has not updated for a while and most of the tracking history says "In Transit to Destination" ...

Has anyone having issues with USPS recently? I sent two power inverter generators to my family in Puerto Rico and none of them made it. Fortunately I had insurance but they did not refund the shipping costs (around $125 each).

Has anyone had experience in calling centers and tracking a package? I called the local PO and they just read the tracking information...

I had a problem with UPS recently, not USPS.

They delivered my package to the complete wrong address, and claimed they talked to me. When I called them on the phone, they said that they spoke with the person in the unit who "said he was me" and then accepted my package, which was clearly marked as "LIVE FISH" from Divers Den. Luckily the guy walked them down to me, maybe was just trying to be a good citizen and figured UPS would muck it up if he didn't take it?

Are you sure the guy actually sent it, and it's a real tracking number?

Whenever I do something like that, I always take a full picture of my receipt and send it, so folks can see what I paid for (shipping wise) and it's confirmed accepted by USPS. Do you know what kind of shipping he paid for?

Yep, he did send me a label with that tracking number, his address and mine. Unfortunately he did not insure the package..

So it that guy now without lights on his tank? I hope there isn't any conflict between the two of you. He should have insured the thing.

Constantly..........sometimes we don't receive mail for a day or two. Once I was waiting on a package via USPS, tracking info stated that it was delivered. I go to the local PO and ask that they investigate. Was told by the clerk that tracking info states that the package was delivered to my address. I stated that not only did I not receive the package, there was no mail delivered that day and that I was home all day.

She stated, "Well maybe you went out." What? I said maybe it was delivered to the wrong address. She says, "Even if it was, it's considered a good delivery." I ask to speak with a supervisor who reiterated what the clerk said as it being a "good delivery."

Long story short, I spoke to the regular mail person who stated that she left early that day and that she would track it down for me. An hour later she shows up with the package and says, "Not only was it delivered on the wrong street, it was also the wrong hundred block."

I had a minor delay on a package about 15 days before Christmas, but that was excusable. I've had several packages from California reach me in 2 days in the last 2 months. So, overall, my USPS experience of late has been pretty decent.

I've probably just jinxed myself, huh?

juan, i feel for you. i sent out some ATI ICP tests out to ATI Labs through california center before heading out to germany. the gardena california location received them on 12/26 and they are still "looking" for my package for delivery to recipient. said it's somewhere in the post office last scan. usps is becoming a bigger and bigger joke. i only use fedex and have an account through them but the ATI ICP tests come with prepaid labels (much better than triton) so used it. never again. i will ship it to germany myself or ship to their location in california with fedex and my account.

sorry for your troubles my friend. hope it works out ultimately for both of you!
