WAMAS Grant at the Children's Science Center Lab

Hey Everyone, earlier this year WAMAS gave a grant to the Children's Science Center Lab to help us with the exhibits we have here on site.  I am working on a plan for how to have staff members blog about this but in the meantime, we are always looking for volunteers who want a taste of keeping up larger systems in a public setting.  Right now we have one smaller reef tank and 5 species tanks (mantis shrimp, seahorses, lionfish, sharks, and a freshwater eel tank).  If you ever have any questions or would like to see what WAMAS is helping to sponsor, please feel free to let me know and I can arrange a tour of our facility for you.

I'd love to volunteer for something like this but being in Laurel, The Children's Science Center Lab is a little bit of a drive. Maybe in the weekend. Would their be other opportunities closer to me?

Oh wow, that's right down the street from me. I would love to volunteer or help out with anything I can if you need the help.

The person to talk to about that is Dave (the one who posted the thread). He's also a retired WAMAS VP and Secretary.

Hey Madub, email me at my work account - davelin@childsci.org.  I can get you set up to do some volunteering.  We have some pretty unique opportunities including animal training with seahorses and general husbandry and educational opportunities.
