epleeds September 27, 2016 Share September 27, 2016 (edited) Never used these before but I can't kick cyno no matter what I do so I'm going to give these a shot. Anyone using a reactor for a 300 gallon system that they can recommend. Edited September 27, 2016 by epleeds

zygote2k September 30, 2016 Share September 30, 2016 We use AVAST reactors for bio-pellets. We have them on a 300, 375, 405, and 500g tanks.
MillerTime September 30, 2016 Share September 30, 2016 At one point I was using an Avast reactor that I modified into a recirculating unit on a 225g. Worked well, but took it off line after a power outage. I'm debating about putting it back into service. I don't have many corals at this point. zygote2k October 1, 2016 Share October 1, 2016 FWIW, I have the large BP reactor on the 500 with about 2 cups of pellets. Nitrate and Phosphate both at or near zero, still have cyano bacteria patches.....
GraffitiSpotCorals October 1, 2016 Share October 1, 2016 Maybe you can try vinegar/vodka dosing to boost your bacteria populations, might help in the same way biopellets would and would be a little easier to control. Also -np pro is even more similar to biopellets in itself and would work the same way.
